Hummer I for one just use a regular basking bulb for the day time on one end of the enclosure (heats to proper temp of course) then it gets turned off at night. Thats how I have always done it and have no issues :) night temp drops are healthy as long as its not too cold
Depends on wattage hummer. You want there to be a gradient within the enclosure, a warm and cool side. When I had my 4x2x2s and when I get these boas enclosures deep heat projector and basking bulb is what I will have. The boas will be bigger. 8 foot
I use the pump sprayers haha. I have not fully decided on whether we will continue doing basking lights or just switching to deep heat projector once his basking light burns out
So, I am officially getting a ball python and I don't know how to heat the enclosure. >.< I am part of the Reptile Lightning facebook group and they say it is healthiest to use a basking bulb and DHP, but I'm not sure those two bulbs would warm a 4x2x2 PVC enlcosure.
All my reptiles have light timers lol I am not turning off 9 lights every night and turning them on again in the morning xD I need to get one of those pump sprayers though I only have a spray bottle and damn does my hand hurt lol
I hand mist the snakes. Now when I had chameleons I had a MistKing- since they needed to be misted multiple times a day. The snakes I only need to usually do it once a day- except during winter then I do twice I am getting light timers though for my snakes with lights in their enclosures. Which is just two but still
