Yeah. I have decided I am only keeping the amount of mares I can afford to pour myself into breeding, + a few recip mares. I grow my own hay now so feed cost has been cut down a lil bit, and I will continue getting hay fields haha.
I have one single breeding. And I have the straw and the medallion already. So either once RO happens or once I wake up I can do the breeding. My EEE mare surprised me with her training so I am getting a foal from her with hopes of at least one W, and a filly.
Personally, I would wait until RO and then search for what price other WWW and WWE combo WBs are up for brood at. Then you can compare your mares to them and figure out pricing that way. I don't know the WB market so I don't have any other advice than that unfortunately.
I can't sell a WWWs brood who's had WWE foals for even 80k, so it's tough. I find that if you sell premade embryos, they go for way more. I matched mares with top studs (200k fees) and charged 500k (embryo/brood sale for the same mare was never even bought for 150k). Managed to make 300k off my mare (or more!) even tho her brood/unmade embryo wouldn't have sold for half of that.
