I grew up with racist and controlling parents. I always told my kids if you are happy, I am happy for you. I asked my mom last year, she is 80, if I came home and said I was in love with another woman would she accept it, mind you I was 57, she said she would have disowned me. She would not accept me and would not have anything to do with me. I have been single since 2017. not by my choice, still in love with my ex. so I have been just doing my thing. I would say live your life and be happy. :)

Yeah, but I am a single parent with an almost 2 year old. They watch him while I work, so I can't really leave because then I wouldn't be able to work/afford daycare on top of rent around here.
