So, I've gotten into Photomanipulations. I've not really been able to expand myself with them however, as I can't figure out how to add patterns to horses. I understand how to do tobiano/paint/pinto patterns with the larger white areas, but when it comes to the roan, or brindle, Sabino, Rabicano....In other words, the complex stuff, I'm not able to figure out how to apply that pattern. If I could get a bit of help, or advice, or tips, it would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance! And, thank you so much! Edited at July 22, 2020 01:37 PM by CC Mustangs

Experiment with textured brushes, erasers, etc. For roan, I like to have a layer that's just airbrushed white and another layer that has a texture on it, then work with opacity/layer settings until it looks the way I want it to. You can probably do that with at least some of the rabicano patterns, too. Seriously, just experiment with everything you've got at your disposal.

For roan, I duplicate the layer, and in the top layer mess with the brightness, hue, saturation, lightness, etc. To make it white. Then I take a speckle (or particle) airbrush and erase some, and the whole face (unless the face is roaned)
