So, I've been working on a horse manip, and the horse I'm "painting" is a roan Sabino. Any tips on painting one and if there's any techniques I could use that could be helpful. Thanks <3 Edited at December 11, 2021 12:13 AM by Oceanic Equine

Did this real quick, if it was a comm, I would have put more effort into it, but this is the basics Duplicate the horse layer, turn the saturation down, maybe brightness up slightly, erase the part where you dont want roan, then use a speckle/cloud/patchy eraser to get it more 'roany' For the whites, it depends on the program, some you just do a clipping layer with white set on overlay Other times, use the lasso select tool where you want the white and then fiddle with the saturation/brightness/levels/tonecurve If its the speckly sabino, I would do a complete layer of white horse, and then speckle erase the parts you dont want sabino . Heres some other tutorials From Amberle I think . From Manduh/Fox Haven Farm . Misha explains it better than me ^
