Hi! I wanted to draw something sort of in the style of the original horse eden pictures, which I figured is drawn in b/w and then colors added on top.

BUT whenever I try to add the colors, it ends up looking completely washed out! Not at all the beautiful, shiny horse that horse eden got. What am I doing wrong? Anyone got the step by step process?
