Can I just say how proud I am of this filly? Brie is such an amazing strong willed horse and I could not be more grateful for her. Somehow I ended up with choosing the best OTTB I could have ever picked. She TOTALLY wasn't what I was looking for, but somehow I ended up with her 🤣 I wanted a tall bay/black wtc 3-5 year old gelding... somehow I ended up with a crazy track broke 15.3HH 2 year old chestnut mare!! But. Nevertheless, the BEST desision of my life to buy that stinker. When I first brought her home she was all over the place, she was used to the "machine" method they use in the racing industry 😔 eventually, with time off, lots of pasture time, friends who taught her how to horse, and lots of love, she has really blossomed into this awesome little mare. And on April 20th, my little filly turned 3 years old, can you believe it!! She has shown me just how much talent she really has, and when I watch old videos of her, she just treated everyone like they where just another person. But now with me, she nickers to me when I pull up to the barn, follows me around, plays with me, and is eager to work and excited to learn new things!! I recently introduced her to free jumping some small cross rails, and by god if I haven't seen a horse who just does it for fun, Brie does it JUST for that 😂 everytime she jumps it she comes trotting back over to me, and asks for treats to see if she did it right, and then when she gets a treat, she trots back over to the jump, and jumps it again, without any force 🤣 it's the funniest thing ever!! I actually took her on her first beach ride the other day, and she acted better than all the other horses there, she LOVES the beach. I'm just so lucky I got this filly, and can't even begin to imagine our future together as besties and partners in crime. I wish this girl such a happy birthday!! 🩷🩷🩷
