So it's happened at least twice today where one person will send a message in chat and then when someone sends a message right after, it ends up below the previous message. The first time I witnessed it, the messages had been sent a few minutes apart. At first I thought I was seeing things but it did it again just now. Not sure if it's an actual bug but I find it a bit odd how it happened twice Edited at May 29, 2023 06:07 PM by California Valley

I saw it too, I thought I was imagining it. It's been happening im since the update to prevent the double messages when the page is refreshed. I also noticed the time sent changes by minutes or seconds depending. I will see if I notice it gain and screenshot it. it happened to me a few times so I think what happens is when someone refreshes, rather then sending the same message again, it bumbs the original message up to the time of refresh

Just did it again. I didn't refresh the page, all I did was send a new chat message. Originally Horse24's message was above dallasthepony

It just happened to me: I was responding to Amelia's comment "welp I'm broke" and this happened (sorry they are kinda out of order) Edited at June 18, 2023 11:39 AM by PK Rescue Stable

This has happened several times lately. At 5:36 am - it showed up again. Someone asked a question, someone answered it. Refreshed chat. The Stable who asked a Question was posted a minute after the Stable who Answered the Question.

I think this is the double posting update. I noticed a few days ago when I reloaded a page I'd made a post on that it popped the message up to the top and changed the time stamp. I'm guessing the update doesn't actually prevent the posting of a message when you reload, only prunes the old message(s) so cosmetically it isn't double posting.

So I think this has to do with the whole refreshing the page from your browser before it used to double post the message whereas now I've noticed it resubmits it instead as a new post and deletes the other one
