One of the horses at my barn, her name is Bobby, spooked at the wind when I was bringing her for grass. She reared. I was walking her in circles, when we tried to move on she stomped on my foot and broke my toe. I got her back to her stall and then went and got it looked at. I’m just wondering if there’s anything I could’ve done differently. Edited at December 30, 2019 01:53 PM by Diamond creek stable

A common horse-related injury. I've broken toes and a hand from being stomped on.

I broke my foot the beginning of summer. It happens. We work with unpredictable animals. Hope it gets better soon!

Accidents happen, my mare gave me 6 stitches on my one finger a few years ago pulling away. My gelding broke the same finger years before when he gave me a flying lesson. Now I have a scarred skew finger

My first horse stepped on my dads foot eons ago, he just wasnt paying attention to his space (the horse). It happens. I think I'd rather have a broken toe than have my boob bitten again 😂

These all sound painful but this one made me LOL. It went from 0-100 real quick. Sorry for everyones' injuries. I got stepped on when brushing a gelding that I had lessons with. Had to brush him before and after sessions, and he shifted and stepped on my foot. I've also gotten stuck on a stirrup before and fell off. But nothing broken.
