Hi! After a very stressful show seson this summer I qualifed for Colonial Classics Championships finals! I know I should be thrilled for this opportunity to show against all of the other people who quailfied. But the big thing right now is money, its going to cost at least $500 if not more. I need to enter in by the 19th and it starts September 1st. I have no clue what to do.

congrats on getting in! happy for ya A big part of the costs for me to show is always buying riding gear and feed, bits and bobs for everything you need. I just restrict myself as much as i possibly can and do it all on a tight budget. But if its the entry fee or something like transport thats gonna cost you that amount of money, im afraid there isnt a great deal you can do :(

Its mostly the fees and how much stabling is going to cost. I made a deal with my parents that I would pay for all my shows because we dont have around $200 to spend every show. I am thinking if i can work more then I can pay for it but its so soon so i dont know if I will have time.

You could go through all of your tack and figure out what you don't need anymore and sell it, it might not bring in a lot of money but it could help. Edited at August 4, 2022 07:00 PM by DaisyMeadowEventing

Can you share a horse and cut stabling fees in half that way?

Would your parents be willing to make an exception and help you out for this show? Could you work out a deal to pay them back over time? Because you're right, you don't have a lot of time to fundraise.
