Hello!!! This weekend, im going to a holiday classic this weekend at a place that is very large and busy. Last time I went, my horse spooked in the indoor and went galloping across the ring, with me hanging on xD If I had let go, I would have been draged. Idk if yall wanted to know that, but a bit backstory :) I am going this weekend with the same horse, but I dont think im going in the indoor, but just in case, anyone have any suggestions? I have gotten 100x stronger in the arms and core sence last time, and I have a way better connection with the horse. She gets really nervous and jittery when we go to large shows, and sometimes we place bad bc all she wants to do it go, (Shes an eventer) Sooooooooo, any suggestions? ( sorry that was long :)

Blinkers or a liquid titanium mask may help, along with a sound-blocking bonnet or earplugs!

I had mine sensory trained and I had to move real slow and be gentle with him, it turned out being the tack that he was wearing so I got more soft and comfortable tack. Maybe try some of those? I know its expensive, but he was an excellent show horse and gained me more money than I spent.

Mk! Ive tryed ear plugs while eventing before, but I feel like it didnt really help her. I feel like she has gotten 100% better over this season. Blinkers might work, I feel like her thing is seeing everything thats happening :) TYSM for the tips!!!!

I dont think its her tack, I had her saddle fitted to her when we got it, and I had someone to come out before the show season started and made sure it fit. I think its just her getting really exited and wanting to go run, (some of her favorite things are going on gallops and jumping) TYSM for the tip though!

Aurorae Sport Horses, My thing is, I dont really want to pay 100$ for a mask that might not work for my horse, Is there any particular mask thats not crazy price that you suggest?

I've found some on tack sale forums and consignment shops for 75-50

If there's schooling the day before you can watch your friends school while standing near your trainer, and then school her in there. If there isn't schooling, they might use the ring as a warmup early in the morning and you can just try and get her as used to it as possible.

Yea, My horse is the type of horse who is actually better without much warm up, if that makes sence. Also, this show is 2 hours away from my house, and I cant go for the schooling night, also were going without my trainer this time xD TYSM for the tip though!!!
