Alrighty, I am here to suggest a contest that came to my head literally 20 minutes ago in hopes others would possibly be interested, lol.

This contest consists of the breeding's done for 2021 and the baby alpacas (crias) that are going to be born from those breeding's in 2021. My idea was to have people guess the color of the crias, there are 26+ solid colors that are in the books for alpacas, including appaloosa, pinto, harlequin, lavender, pink, brown, black, fawn, etc. All bring different shades of those specific color (light, dark, medium, indefinite, solid etc.) So in all aspects the cria could literally be any color depending on their linage, which will also be provided if need.

I would be open to doing small prizes such as naming rights for that cria, yes naming rights, money, bragging rights, free horse broods/straw prizes and much more. To be able to guess the crias color I will be providing colors of their parents, linage pictures (includes ancestors colors), pictures of parents and a few pictures of their progeny.

If I get enough interest I would be starting the process of making a contest forum for the contest, as our first baby comes on 02/19/2021. Hoping that all made sense, but feel free to ask questions on anything relating to alpacas or this fourm!
