when you where a new account... Just for fun I want you to mention things that made you feel cool or rich when you first started the game. Like when you got your first red ribbon, when you thought that 10,000 ebs was super rich, or when you bred your first PEE and thought you where finally getting the whole breeding thing down. Stuff that now isn't all the impressive but a big deal when you where just starting and didn't know how the game worked or maybe your account is just so old that you didn't have a lot of the things that we have available for us now (Like the world class rating)! I'll go first - When I was a new account I thought I was rich because I got the jasmine plant from the hidden falls. I sold it for 10000 ebs and thought I could go buy a really nice horse. I quickly learned that other accounts had lots more ebs and 10000 didn't get you very far 😂

When I joined I thought that everyone was a mod and you had to play for multiple years to become a mod

I'll share my story because it amuses me. In early 2011, I had a longtime online horsey friend send me the link for me to sign up so she could get the referral EBs. I caught a smokey cream warmblood stallion, god awful rating, was so proud of him. Showed him to my friend and she told me he was shit and gave me a basic explanation of how ratings worked. As soon as I got familiar with the competition aspect of the game, I was hooked. I originally bred WBs and TBs, then just WBs, then RID, then finally the evil ponies. Jeri was my artistic inspiration and I joined the art scene with minimal experience in digital illustration (college was BFA graphic design and art history, and I was an oil painter). Picked up a wacom tablet and went from there. I was pretty out of control in chat once that feature started up, but I've done SOME growing up since then. And for anyone who remembers 12 RL years ago, TBs and WBs ruled the world, and I would grind hard for In Cahoots and Choo Choo Charlie straws. Nothing has changed much in that regard, because twelve years later I'm still grinding for every straw I buy due to my constant level of brokeness from capturing. It's actually been 4 years since I started playing today :D I remember when I first started I used to write down on PHYSICAL paper every horse I captured, I recently found one of those sheets aha. It took me two years to breed an EEE after I gave up color breeding and uhm, I loved him he was awesome, but then like right after he passed away I think or around that time was when WC came out and I about lost it. (I was also convinced that mods were scary and I should never ever talk to one but they're not they're awesome, Eve also scared me lowkey 😭)

When I first joined it happened that RO was the week after, so I assumed RO was a weekly thing and was so excited to breed my horses every week. Imagine my disappointment when I found out 😂

When I first joined I had no idea what I was doing or what ratings were. I didnt train my horses, didn't use geldings, and survived solely off of breeding to the cheapest horses I could find. I solely survived off of Tempesta Ranch and Charlie's Place studs 😂 In fact if you follow my mare's lineage, they all probably boil down to the same couple studs. I was so excited to finally produce my first EEE boy because back then, the cheapest price to breed to studs were 10k a pop. I was so disappointed because by the time I managed to get that EEE boy (Who was absolute trash but somehow had splash in a sea of blue roan sabinos so he got used a decent chunk) the low end of studs were pretty much free lmao. Then I finally figured out geldings and training and using the barn manager to show (still do because im lazy as hell shh...) and was able to start getting those ABLB studs I always drooled over... And thus the blue roan sabinos took over my bloodlines because of Belanglo and Gunslinger. I've been scraping to avoid the blue roan since 🤣 Edited at April 28, 2023 07:35 PM by Epsilon Acres

When I joined HEE, the game was only 10 months old. PPPs were a hot commodity back then and sPP horses were on the LB. All the breeds were posed the same/looked the same, except for color & patterns. It's been an interesting trip, watching the game grow to what it is today.

When I first started I use to think that a 1 of 13671 colour rated horse was rare. For some reason I thought that for ever 13671 horses born 1 would look like this. I don't know it's pretty silly.
