I breed mainly SD horses (specifically PONs). I strive for WC and colour and only try to breed LB stock. All my horses are shown and proven. I do get a lot of "extra" horses from my breedings and every month I fill my sale barn with lots of horses. Every few months whoever has not sold gets entered in an auction. I price my E-rated stock at 900 ebs a level until level 5. After level 5 I start to factor in the age of the horse and whatnot to adjust the price. This means you could get a flashy 1/1 E-rated filly for only 900 ebs! My WC I price according to the market. Right now I have noticed SD WC PON mares and stallions going to around 25k and more. I would love to buy all of them but I don't need any more breeding stock. But when I price my WC mares at 9k they can sit in my barn for months. So my question is how do you decide what a SD horse is worth? And to the people buying SD stock, what are you looking for in a horse!?
