It is entirely up to you to decide if you'd like your character to have a job. The available jobs are:

Even if you have a job, you are still a student. The jobs are just for people who got in via scholarships or who need help paying fees.

Instructors each have a small cottage off the main house.

Morning Duties: Muck out & let horses into the pasture. *Make sure who is supposed to stay stalled.* Pasture placing listed in feed room. Lightly groom nighttime pastured horses. Feed/water horses - again, check the poster in the feed room to give everyone the right food. Supplements can be found in the white locker, check who needs what!!!

Daytime Duties: On farrier days, help lead horses to and fro. Put horses in the exerciser (as always, check who is supposed to)

Evening Duties: Bring in horses from the pastures and let out daytime stalled horses. *Check pasture roster!* Feed/water horses, lightly groom daytime pastured horses. Check that all tack/grooming items are in their places. Check tackroom to make sure everything is in order - this may be done first thing in the morning instead.

***All students will be required to take care of their own horses and partly take care of their schoolhorses. This means checking they're uninsured, tacking up, riding them, grooming them, etc. Stable hands are not for your own use!!!***

Exercise Riders: Responsibilites

Exercise riders are responsible for riding the un-assigned schoolhorses, unbred broodmares, selected boarded horses, and some of the farm stallions. Each rider is assigned a short list of horses each day, with horses shifting from person to person. Only the more experienced riders will be assigned the trickier mounts, and skill level is taken into account when assigning.

On average, each rider will ride 3-5 horses per day for approximately 30 minutes - you will also be given loose instructions on what you may/may not do on the horse, what discipline to focus on, etc.

The farm also offers part-time training for riders who want to earn their Riding Instructor's Certificate. Please specify in your sing-up if your character is part of this.

Backstory: Heather got her passion for Eventing from her father before his sudden passing from a fatal riding accident at the Olympics, both her and her sister were 4 & 2 years old at the time when that happened but at least she has both their mother and her little sister. 9 years later, she was 13 years old now as her little sister is 11 years old now. Their mother took them both to horse shows to watch both riders & horses compete against the others, it felt exciting to the girls as Heather's passion for eventing grew more and more everyday to the point where she wanted to follow into her father's footsteps to become a great Eventer just like him but the pain of losing the one person that got both her & her little sister into loving horses was now suddenly gone, just like that, she felt so much hurt & sorrow that she would often at times distance herself from people but she would only let their mother or her little sister get close to her since they're her family. 3 years later, she was now 16 years old and was ready to get a horse of her own. When she first met Prince from the local horse rescue and worked with him, even though she got bucked off or jumped over the round pen fence when he charged at her, she has realized that she has found both a soulmate & a partner in crime after they've won their first eventing show together.

Appearance: A fairly thin woman, Rowan has a kind, round face framed with dark brown hair normally kept in a braid. She has cheerful green eyes and an all-around calming look with her joyful and relaxed smile.

Personality: She's fairly quiet but determined and hard working. She's also very friendly and loves to get to know the riders and horses. She's very motherly and can be both kind and strict while approaching things calmly.

Likes: Riding, Teaching, Being there for her students, helping others

Dislikes: Ignorant riders/owners

Backstory: Rowan began her love of horses young and began lessons at five years old, which she continued up until three years ago. She hadn't thought about being a trainer, but halfway through her veterinary education, her old trainer died and Rowan was left the two horses that started it all. When she went to pick up the horses, she was sad to see all of the young riders with no trainer. So that's what she decided to do and changed her career. She's now been happily teaching for three years.

Appearance: A stocky little pony, he stands at 14.3 hands. He has a gorgeous flaxen dark liver coat with high stockings on his left front/right hind. He has two tan hooves, a large cross-shaped blaze, and amber eyes.

Age: 3 years

Personality: A very stubborn pony, he isn't one for beginner riders. He doesn't like other horses much but tolerates them and isn't afraid to throw an attitude at Rowan. He was commonly known as either the Houdini Pony or the Devil Pony from Rowan's last barn, especially since he has such a sour attitude and escapes easily.

Likes: Biting, Being a butt, his personal space

Dislikes: Other horses, anybody but Rowan

Discipline: Dressage, Show Jumping

Achievements: Not many. He won a few small classes and made it to a few high stakes shows but Rowan noticed he didn't enjoy them, so he became a local show pony.
