. Pinehill Farms is an equestrian center and private school nestled into a rural haven in Northern Virginia, just outside of the hustle and bustle of the city. It is a fairly small school, with a total population of about 250-300 students from the ages of fourteen to nineteen. Riders here typically come from money, but a few special scholarships are given out to the most talented of the applying riders. With cutthroat competition in an area with little to do, drama often ensues. . General Info: -the school operates like any private school, with specialized academics and a rigorous courseload. there are a handful of advanced / extra-specialized tracks students can take such as pre-med, pre-vet, etc., but they have little effect on the overall Pinehill experience. -there are four to a room in the Pinehill suites, with public bathrooms in both the guys and girls buildings. the buildings do not connect, and it is very difficult to sneak into the other due to the level of security implemented. however, that does not stop people from exiting the buildings after curfew. it only means they will be unable to get back in until curfew is lifted at 0600. -curfew is at midnight on sunday, monday, tuesday, and thursday. on friday and saturday, it is 00:30. on wednesdays, it is ten, and the girls and guys buildings have teambuilding exercises or activities for two hours. this may involve going for food off campus, doing a night hike, watching a movie, etc. this is designated by the leaders of each building. -no one is obligated to bring their own horse, but one stall is allotted to each rider per semester. riders may only bring one horse, if they choose to. |

work in progress . Name: Arabella Black Age/Grade: 16 / 11th Appearance: Arabella has striking green-grey eyes that change shade depending on her mood. Her face is framed by glossy black hair, the tips currently dyed to a light blue. (This, too, changes regularly depending on her budget.) She's relatively average or just below average height, and carries herself in a way that immediately attracts attention to her, as much as she'd like to avoid it. Personality: Ara tends to avoid large crowds, and can be quite short-tempered to some people. She's very focused on reaching her goals, and can come across as arrogant when talking about her achievements. Even so, behind her harsh exterior, she craves intimate companionships and although she struggles to make lasting friendships, she longs to have just one person consistently in her corner. (For someone so keen on having a true friendship, she refuses to open up and doesn't like speaking about herself.) Views others as distractions. Background: She originally started riding at age 2, as both her parents were upper level eventers who managed a farm together in England. When her father died in a tragic riding accident when she was only 13, though, everything fell apart. The land and horses were all sold, and the family moved to the states. Arabella was able to keep her horse, Kelsey, purely through working to pay for his needs herself. This school is her dream come true, as she hopes to follow in her father's footsteps one day. He stands at a staggering 17hh, and his formidable persona and size makes him difficult to handle. He has a thin interrupted stripe and two white socks on his hind legs. His mane and tail is naturally thick and slightly wavy, but due to his frequent arguments with other horses it tends to be ragged. Horse's Personality: (if applicable): Kelsey, as mentioned above, stays true to his sex. Hot-headed and temperamental both in and out of the saddle, he is difficult to control, but trusts Arabella more than anyone else. He acts up around most horses, but tends to bond best with smaller ponies for some reason or other. Despite his height, he spooks largely at imaginary things but takes the real dangers in his stride - literally speaking on the cross-country course. Dislikes having his feet touched. Name Heather Storm Age/Grade 18/12th Appearance Heather has hazel green eyes, toned tan skin, and dark brown hair. The length of her hair would stop at her mid back, she would have an athletic build to her with toned muscles. She has only two tattoos on her, her first would be a four leaf clover with a gold horse shoe behind it on her right wrist and her second tattoo would be a dolphin on her left arm. She's 5'1"ft in height while weighing around at 120 pounds. Personality Heather is quite anti-social person as she usually feels awkward in social situations but she can be nice to the person in question. Her stubborn nature sometimes gets the better of her when it comes to her animals as they're her responsibility to take care of and not anyone else's as she tends to keep it that way. She isn't afraid to speak her mind when it comes to certain topics but she's pretty mindful of what words to say or use in some conversations, and she'll be sometimes clumsy which she's triping over something/nothing or not paying attention of where she's going. Background Heather worked her way up into the horse world by taking a couple of riding lessons while working hard at a barn as she constantly rotated between a stable hand, a traveling show groom, and an excerise rider with dog walker in between until she had enough money and experience to get her first horse, Eclipse. She was lied to by the person that sold him that he was gelded until she took him to the vet to find out that he still had his boys intact. Over a month of getting to know her stud, she went on a trip with one of her Equestrian friends to Portugal to look at some horses. The brunette set her eyes on Etria, she was saddened by the mare's poor condition as she managed to convince her friend if she can take the mare with them which her friend agreed and ever since, her life became quite eventful with both a stallion and a mare. There's never a dull moment in her life with those two. Hometown Cantonment, FL Riding Discipline Eventing Horse's Name The Lovely Marisol "Etria" Horse's Gender Mare Horse's Breed Andalusian Horse Horse's Appearance Etria is a purebred Dapple Grey Andalusian Horse. She has pretty ocean blue eyes that have a gentle look to them. She has no indications of any markings on her except for her dapples. The mare stands at 16.3hhs while weighing around 1,300 pounds. Etria has a robust, heavy build which is common in this breed. Horse's Personality: (if applicable): Etria is quite intelligent as she picks up on things a lot, making her a quick learner. The mare is quite sensitive to some certain things but she's relatively responsive at most, making the equine a bit manageable to handle to ride. The Dapple Grey can be a very sweet mare unless she's in season then the mare is overall moody. Even though this breed is known to be brave, even brave horses have their spooky moments. Etria will have her days where she isn't afraid of anything and other days where she'll spook from a moving plastic bag.
