My cat is much more cuddly than my dog. Sure he runs away when a stranger comes into the house, but once he gets used to you he is more than happy to come out.
Revel - I do have 3 dogs as well. 2 of them are sighthounds which are said to be more like cats in temperament. So I guess I like the contrast of having aloof dog breeds and affectionate cats 😉
That's really weird, Piper, I have not seen that either. I thought even embryo foals are treated as straws in that they do not mess with the counter for tge 20 LCs
@San, I can agree with your last sentence! Cats can be super affectionate. They just aren't as open about it with strangers as dogs. That is why it drives me nuts when dog lovers say they hate cats because they are mean and don't love you.
They are super affectionate too. Some of the people who have some of my youngsters say that they are more like dogs. One girl has a boycat from me and when she was away for 2 days her brother says her cat was sleeping in the hallway on her shoes and was waiting for her at the door until she came back. When people say cats don't care about their people apart from using them as food dispensers - they just haven't met the right cats yet!
I love how calm and cuddly they can be, but they are also quite playful and adventurous. Plus I love how many colours there are (me starting to breed cats and their various genetics were one of the reasons I picked up HEE again too) and that I also have two coat lengths to choose from (Kili's mom is longhair)
I'm a relatively new breeder and I have been on a bit of a hiatus now- and me starting a new job soon will give me even less time. But I so want to have another litter again. Even other breeders are complimenting me on him and I feel I got really lucky.
I know, I have to pinch myself when I look at him. His older brother Osito (Izzy's dad) is a solid dude, but I feel Kili plays in a whole different league.
