Thor has a muzzle for the times that I feel brave enough to trim his nails on my own instead of bringing him in for a $15 nail grind plus tip. The only time he can't handle himself is during toe trimming
thank god i trained my dogs. i muzzle my aussie because i dont 100% trust her yet. she was in an abusive household until she was 6. so when were out walking and we do off-leash training (with an e-collar) people feel safer around us
@Ally, that is horrible. IÂ’ve just had quite a few instances where I am at the park and my dog isnt bothering anyone or he is in a heel position next to me and people go out their way to approach me and tell me my dog needs to be on a leash.
I dont mind off leash dogs until they start attacking. We have had so many issues with people just letting their dogs do whatever and run everywhere. We live in the country and its ridiculous. We had a pack of pitbulls a few years back that we had to take care of because they were biting our horses and trying to take them down
i didnt want to pepper spray the poor dog, but if it meant keeping my medical equipment safe, then yeah. trust me, it genuinely hurt me to hear the dog scream and cry in pain. i cried as i ran away. part of me regrets it but im glad i did what i did.
and thats 100% okay. thats what you are comfortable with. im completely different. my family has 8 guns spread around the house hidden, and i know where EVERY gun is. except one, for a reason. other than those 8, the rest of our guns are locked up in our safe-room.
I think what sometimes frustrates me about the whole off leashed dog thing is I went through lots of recall training with my dog so he can safely roam off leash. I dont like being grouped in with other irresponsible people. Whenever we go to park, he never bothers anyone else.
thats 100% valid. ive had to pepperspray a dog because it attacked my SD when she was barely 6mos old and the owners were just giggling and just standing there.
I am all for owning weapons and self defense, but some people should not have them. I for one refuse to own a gun if I ever get married and my husband wants one he needs to buy a safe first and no one can have the code.
If they go after us or our animals they will go bye bye. We do give neighbors a warning but we have had lambs and horses injured by dogs that our neighbors have owned
