| @Versa, my bad. Just logging in and saw the conversation. A lot of good points were brought up. I will say, I have been diagnosed with anxiety and depression, but I think it is my autism that makes me anxious and depressed. So maybe misdiagnosing is a factor too. |

| In years past, many mental health issues were undiagnosed/treated, which may influence the numbers recognized today. So not sure if the mental decline is as great as it seems. |

| Sam, It is interesting! I historically am a very stable individual. I don't give a rat's behind what people have to say about me. But I got ACTUAL feelings of dread after my appendix removal. Turns out, yes. Medications related to surgeries can cause it |

| Heck, I mean. The zoo I'm currently a part of does mental health meetings to check in on their members because WE ALSO get a lot of hate. I dunno. Just people are wild these days |

| I know certain communities are getting hammered with awful comments. Veterinarians are the #1 most vulnerable to things related to depression, which I will refrain the mention directly of. So I imagine the rise in those numbers is also contributing |
