yes, it adds to their hidden stats. So if you capture with a +20 map, you may boost a SubSubSub into being SSS, you just have to get lucky and boost that EEE into being WWW, but you don't ever see these stats.

do note that with certain color changes (Bay to black, chestnut to bay, etc) you may not need to make it a greyscale first :3
Here are the 2 that helped with color changes the most:
Zomb's

HRS's

Zomb's shows the greyscale method, while HRSs is chestnut to bay :)

greyscale it, duplicate, use a layer set to color and possibly mustiply over it, keep adding layers of different colors or adjusting existing ones until you get what your going for. It's hard to explain in chat, lemme grab the link for my favorite tutorial real quick<3

I just adopted a 4 year old cat and am hoping to get some reccomendations on a high quality brand of food.

I bought a bag of Hill's Science diet and while I don't think it's a bad brand, I am curious what everyone else is feeding their cats.

Also, what are the recommendations for wet vs dry? I think I would like to feed a combination like a can of wet in the morning and a scoop of dry at night.

I know that pet food is controversial subject, however, I am hoping to just get some opinions and advice from experience.

Edit : I don't recomend Purina if your cat has a sensitive stomach, my old cat was on Purina her entire life and loved it : )
My cat is on Hill's Prescription Microbiome. It's a good quality dry food especially if your cat has a sensitive stomach. I don't recomend Purina, if I feed my cat Purina she throws up after she eats. I don't have any solid opinions on wet food since my cat refuses to eat it but I think it's a good way to up a cats water intake.

Hey! I have 3 kitties my oldest hates wet food so to make it easy I give them Purina dry kibble (the indoor advantage one). I also treat my cats with dry temptations cat treats. I give my other two cats the squeeze up wet treat and they go crazy for it. There's also whiskas cat milk which is good if you are feeding dry only. If my oldest would eat wet food then that is what I'd be feeding them as dry food isn't the best.
Also make sure he has enough fresh cold water. I have an electric water fountain for my kitties and they love it.
Every cat is different and you might have to buy a couple brands at first to see what they really like.
Hope this helps some :)

Hello!
I have two fur babies and I feed them the blue buffalo wilderness with chicken. :)
When I got my first cat (or found rather) he was super picky and would only eat the blue buffalo brand. I tried a ton of different kinds. Originally I would just get whichever flavor was on sale when I went to buy it, but my picky eater started to get UTIs (just a normal thing that can sometimes happen to boy cats) so I looked up what ingredients can help cause them. I believe the main ones were magnesium and something else, and the blue buffalo wilderness with chicken was the lowest in those things.
Anyways when he was getting the UTIs and I took him to the vet she said that the blue buffalo is a very good brand of food. The only issue is it's a bit expensive. But I don't mind spending $50 a month on my babies food. :)
.
Sorry for the rambling, but I hope this helps. Lol
.
Edit: Also I don't feed wet food, because I like my cats to have food available at all times (unless they begin to over eat or gain to much weight). So I am of no use in that aspect. ;)
But, I have begun to switch my dog to a raw diet and one option for you is you could feed a bit of raw meat to them in the morning and kibble at night. That is a common thing for people who want to feed raw but worry about missing any key vitamins and minerals.

Just FYI UTIs can happen to both males and females. But occurrs mort commonly in male cats. It happened to my oldest (female) before we got the water fountain.

I highly recommend Hills ^.^ I'm not 100% sure which ones they are, but especially male kitties have a higher risk for bladder issues on some kinds. My vet recommends it and it is the only kind he sells in his office. I don't recommend wet food. It seems that many pets actually get sick off of some of the more raw types because the food is so raw. If you are thinking the canned type, I use that as a treat, but it is not a good idea on a daily basis!! If they like it, they will except it and hound you for it XD
If you do go with Hills, I would go off the feeding instructions. Before we figured out the risk in feeding our cats the previous brand, we had always just left a bowl with an unlimited amount of food because they are so low maintenance and don't usually require a structured diet. When my cat figured out he liked Hills, he gained a lot of weight. Now I just put the recommended amount in his bowl once in the morning, and he has learned how to eat throughout the day. His current health and weight are very good, so I am happy with the results!
Hopefully this helps, good luck with him!! He is a very handsome boy <3

I recently adopted a huge fat Maine Coon cat who is a bit of a picky eater. Refused wet food, but has been doing super well on Orijen kibble wettened with water.
I'm very impressed with the change in his weight (is getting closer to a healthier weight), fewer hairballs, and better coat quality.

At the end of the day, try different brand & ingredient options with your cat - both wet and kibble - and see what they individually do best with. Every cat is wildly different. :)

I like Royal Canin. Medical-related brands cost extra but worth it IMO. Before we fed hills or RC, our cat developed a UTI and irritable bowel syndrome by 1.5-2 years. Now that we feed only RC, we have 2 2-yos and a 3.5 yo and none have had issues *knock on wood*
