Yes, Tee. I hope it feels better soon (Tho if its broken, probably 4-6 weeks in an air boot and if its sprained most likely a brace

Tee that's not good, best thing is to ice it. It will take the swelling done and elevate the foot.

I'd say put ice on it. then wrap it in something to stabilize it....You could put heat on it but if i remember correctly heat doesn't slow swelling down but helps with pain

You may be like my husband, he didn't even know he had a hairline fracture in his foot. Been walking around with a limp for 4 months before I made him go.

I ‘sprained’ both my elbows a few months apart from each other doing the same dumb thing, doctors thought it was fine didn’t think X-ray was needed, so I didn’t bother with it until the second time it still felt sore and swollen after 2 months, got me an X-ray then got a phone call that afternoon telling me to go back to the doctor as soon as possible. They were both fractured, thankfully minor all they needed was rest but still. I’m hyper mobile with high pain tolerance, so that contributed to me getting dismissed

Tee I would %100 precent have a doctor check it out. Plus the swelling alone can cause nerve damage in the foot.

I want to treat myself and upgrade my old helmet this show season! But I need suggestions as I have only ever had 2 troxel helmets. My first one was the most basic beginner helmet I got for $45, and my recent one is a nicer velvet one. I liked it at the time because I showed a lot of hunter flat classes but I don't really like the look of it any more and it just gets way to dirty to easily.

I will mainly use the helmet for showing and jumping but also to get on the occasional baby for a first ride. So I'm looking for comfort, fashion, and price. I'm not spending $500 just for a colt to dump me the first week I get it 😂

I have a Tipperary Royal Wide Brim and love it! It looks just as nice as a Samshield or any other crazy expensive helmets but for a fraction of the price. I compete in it in hunters and jumpers and it looks really nice.

i have a John Whitaker VX2 sparkle helmet and i love it!! really comfy, and it has some pretty sparkly bling on it too, and its only 100 euro which I considera bargain for such a good helmet.
I will say though make sure you buy the right size because if you get one that's even a little too small it can be quite uncomfortable.

I love my OneK, Ovations are super sleek and professional looking for their price range, Tipperarys are good too.
I would recommend trying them on at the store, as different brands accommodate different head shapes.

I second the actually going into try! The Tipperary fits small and I had to exchange the once I originally bought for a medium.

Yes I will definitely try to get into a store to try some on. My MIL actually has a tack store that I am starting to take over, so I am able to order alot of stuff in for cheaper then it would be in store. So that's mostly why I'm asking for suggestions so I know where to start looking. But I definitely will narrow down to a few brands and then try them on in store to get an idea so I'm not ordering stuff just to send it back

Are there any hints and tips for figuring out what helmet size/shape your head is?
I'm in desperate need of a new helmet. I went to the local tack shop that supports all the local shows and does so much for the equestrian community. Well, their customer service sucks just a tad. And their prices are for the hoity toity crowd. I felt dismissed and less than - I had some money ready to spend and was relegated to the schooling lower end of the collection.
I need a proper fitting helmet that's current and up to code.
I know that MIPS adds like $100 to the price and obviously each brand has a low, medium, high or $$$$$ helmets.

My current helmet is a IRH Elite EQ, navy with suede covering. I like that it looks nice, isn't a recognizable schooler helmet (like an Ovation or Troxel) and could go into the show ring.

I used to ride in a OneK and that was my 'goal' helmet to get - but with so many on the market, and the recent safety studies, I'm wondering what direction to go and how to get there.

Price point - $400 or less
Nice professional look for training & local shows

Several Ovation models have been recalled, so be aware of that!
