Jumping on people is a very common trait in poodles. Something about them just wants to be eye level

*typical backyard breeder. I think it is more of a breed/temperament thing.

At the time there were lots of other doodles in our neighborhood and we thought they had great personalities so we weren't opposed to getting one. I don't blame his breeder, his breeder was a wonderful lady who really did care and wasn't your backyard breeder.

But what is the other breed? Golden, lab, etc?

Second generation, so 75% poodle.

What type of doodle is he?

Honestly, if he would just calm down he would make an excellent therapy dog.

@Sway, his Mom was a therapy dog so I was hoping he would have a similar temperament. He is SUPER smart and I have loved working with him, but he is high energy and jumps on people.

@Hummer
In my experience, behavioral issues are common in any type of doodle because theyÂ’re rarely bred for temperament. And, itÂ’s often breeds that arenÂ’t really compatible purpose-wise, giving you dogs that were bred for pets that have working dogs behind them and such.

@Celeste, my dog is two so only 3 more years to go until he calms down? 🥲 He is a doodle and after owning him I'm not sure I can recommend them as a "breed." 😬

Jupiter used to be like that. He was like that till he was 5. Now walkies come when I feel like it haha. And he is ok with that.

@Celeste, I wish my dog were more lazy. He gets a 45 minute walk twice a day, but still acts like a butt because he is bored at night.

He is the only dog I know that likes being under the blanket.
He wants under the blanket 24/7. He knows the phrase “Wanna go to bed?” He is such a lazy dog haha.

I had 15 free captures. The second one was a freebie. I used a +15 on the first one and she was my very first capture. I think I did about 60 or so in all! I'm so happy! I got a few other good ones too!

@Celeste, lol. My dog hates being covered with a blanket.

Can someone throw any light on this? I have 3 stables, allhave a similar number of horses with the same mix of age, sex, training, experience, showing policy etc. One of my stables is premium and the other 2 are free. Why, then, is it that my premium account makes a lossshowing whilst the free accounts make a healthy profit? This does not include otherhorse income and riders’ wages.I am told that there should be no difference, but over theyears I have dipped in and out of Premium and every time I am driven back tobeing free account purely for financial reasons.I will not be seeking another premium on this account.

There are no differences, some horses show better then others, its all about luck.

Maybe the show horses you have on your premium are not as good as the once that you have on your free accounts.
<font class="mainlineblack">The same Age, sex, training, experience, showing policy doesnt mean nothing cause its all about luck!

Are you using the barn manager to show on your premium account?

Free and premium accounts don't show together. Only free stables compete against each other. Only premium stables compete against each other. It just could be because free accounts don't have the competition that premiums do.

Ah. That is the answer then. When I mentioned this in chat someone said that there was no difference. So that is the answer. I have tried Barn Manager and no Barn Manager and a combination of both. This is why members are always complaining that they cannot make money showing.
