Considering the length of time it takes to make good sellable art, I don't think it's such a 'fast' way.

Mmm. Debatable. Art piece can take a decent amount of time depending on the work put into it. Say a piece takes 2 hours, factoring in stock hunting. In that time, can enter quite a few 100 stall barns into shows.

I'm not an illustrator so 2d rendering isn't exactly my thing. I used to be really good at photo manips but I'd need my handy PS for that.. just not for $60 a month lol

Krita is free! And you don't have to have a fancy Wacom. Chinese tablet is just as good.
