How does one determine whether a mare or stallion is a 'good breeder' or a 'poor breeder' for bravery ratings? . Perhaps I'm too inexperienced, but the ratings seem to be 'all over the place', generally in lower ratings than the paired horses or ponies. Out of all my breedings to date, I've only noticed two foals that exceeded both of the parent's bravery. . Possibly related threads or posts: https://horseeden.com/forums.php?f=10&t=45688 What makes a good breeder thread, Member help sub-forum. On regular ratings, not bravery ratings. I do personally tend to use Hyrim Canyon's online HEE guide for determining 'good breeders', for more consistent PPP+ rated foals, or the attempt thereof. .

Do you still need help? All I really know is that bravery depends on the horse. The offspring can be braver than the parents, or more cowardly.

Honestly I just use the highest-LB horses possible.

I second this one. - I only use top WC studs when breeding my E+ bravery girls. And as my herd keeps improving i FR all my Elite brav foals and will only use my WC horses when breeding.

Thank-you. I was, and still am, curious on how to determine or figure out if a horse is a 'good breeder' for bravery ratings.
