Cracked Up to Be by Courtney Summers Reaction: Courtney Summers has such a haunting and beautiful writing style. It amazes me how she dives into such heavy and dark topics while still keeping you wanting more. The mystery of this story is slowly pieced together throughout and gives insight into the mental struggles Parker is facing. Being a perfectionist, myself, there were elements that truly spoke to me and also frightened me. I’m obsessed with this book. It only took me about 4 hours to read. Please check your trigger warnings before reading! Rating: 5/5

Assassain's Blade by Sarah J Maas Reaction: I have heard all over booktok (book tiktok) that the TOG series reigns high over her other books. I wanted to put that theory to the test. Many people said to read the prequel after the second book, but I'm very glad I didn't. This prequel (which is why it is a prequel) gives you so much background knowledge that is vital to understanding the innerworkings of the main character, Celaena. It shows her assassain story and how she ends up where she is in the first book. I loved the novellas that made up the prequel and they were so well written. Rating: 4/5

Throne of Glass by Sarah J Maas Reaction: This book picks up a year after the prequel, and carries through a very interesting trial of the fittest. It reminded me of the contest that happened during Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard, but instead of being a competition for the prince's hand, it was to be the king's personal assassain. The amount of character growth that happens in this book is beautiful. You get to meet so many fun characters that will have you laughing and crying. In true SJM style, you can not get too attached to anyone, or try to pick love interests, because she will either kill them off or remove them from being an option. This book is full of action and thrills. It involves magic, kingdoms, betrayal, and ghosts. It has so many different things that shouldn't work, but they do. I think this series might already be my new favorite of SJM's collection of work. Rating: 4/5

Crown of Midnight by Sarah J Maas Reaction: This has easily been my favorite book out of the series so far. It goes beyond the King's Champion trial and dives deeper into Celaena's past and love life which is always exciting. This book seems longer than it is, not because it is slow, but simply because so much happens and there is so much information that is gained in this book alone. I am so excited to see where her next adventure takes her and who she will meet along the way. Rating: 5/5

If you like sci-fi, Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir is really good! Same author who wrote the Martian. The character has a unique voice and the voice actor for the audio book is also really good if you prefer to listen to it

Heir of Fire by Sarah J Maas Reaction: By the Wyrd, as TOG characters would say. This book turned the tide for this series. I've loved all of them, but this one reaches ACOWAR level in the amount of love I have for it. The adventure into new lands that it provides and the challenges Celaena faces makes my heart leap with remorse and joy. We are finally introduced to Rowan Whitethorn, who is easily my new book boy crush. Tall, broody, powerful. He is a total bad ass. I tend to talk about Celaena's character development throughout the books and Heir of Fire may just be her peak. This is the plot building book that is going to be the cause of the turning tides within the next few books. I am so so excited to keep reading this series. This is by far my favorite book. I just finished The Dead House, and it was absolutely incredible. Cannot recommend it enough. It's an epistolary about a haunted and haunting girl and the creepy school and psychiatrists she has to navigate.

Lore Olympus (V. 2) by Rachel Smythe Reaction: This by no means was a bad book, I finished it in one sitting, but it seemed to be a lot of filler information and events in order to build to Volume 3. I enjoyed it, but wish there was more to it. Rating: 3.5/5
