And of course the Rider has to wear matching Breeches, Shirt, Vest, Helmet Cover, and Gloves! However you do it - it's all about the color scheme! Liberty It's the magic of the bond between horse and handler as maneuvers are performed with nothing but subtle cues through body language and voice; when two beings of two different species go beyond the language barrier and truly understand each other. Using simple body cues, the horse begins to walk in a circle around you, no rope or stick forcing the equine to perform. You cluck and the gait is changed to a trot; a kiss and then canter. With nothing physical connecting you and the four-legged creature, you can feel the strongest bond holding you together. It isn't about dominance, for you listen to everything your horse is saying and respect them just as they respect you. With a gentle touch, you guide them to the soft dirt where the horse rolls for a moment then closes its eye under your soft caress. Blue Ribbon Ride🏅 Congratulations! You've won your class! In a whirlwind of motion, your horse is pinned with a great blue ribbon; a bouquet of flowers is shoved in your hand, and a cooler draped over your mounts rump saying Winner! During a Performance, horses of various states in their training will show their abilities - from horses demonstrating the exemplary Grand Prix Dressage Movements (Passage, Piaffe, Temp Changes) to those who are learning to preform the Haute école (Capriole, Courbette, Levade) steps in hand or between pillars. In the final phase of the showcase - riders mount up the elite horses without stirrups and perform the "Airs Above The Ground Movements, the epitome of all the training and skill of both horse and rider. The PPP Fundraiser raised 90k! Thank you all for your support & love! . . In July I will hold another PPP auction full of colorful & rare beauties, this will be held on the typical stable auction platform instead of the forums. My plan is is that this will be the first of a regular once a month auction be held to bring regular support to the PPP. . . Donations are welcome for those interested. Ebs items & tack go to Boulder Creek Horses that are donated to the PPP Support Auction come to my stable space permitting & will be entered into the next auction. . . Guidelines for donated horses > please no geldings (sorry ) > 1-4 yes old > color rarity of 150 or less (exceptions for sooty chimera & a few others) . . I have a small number of ebs that I can use to buy a horse from you if you need to sell, please feel free to ask money for it. . . ✸ Racing ✸ ∴ Theme Classes ∴ 🌞 Summer Vacation 🌄 🎣 Fishing Tournament 🐟 The Show Jumping, Parade, Drill Team, Black & White and Racing classes will be judged by an anonymous judges panel! (remember, if you are chosen for this week's judges panel - you cannot enter a horse in these classes) Show Jumping Where the Agility, Speed, Dexterity, and Scope of a horse is tested over brightly colored rails as they race against the clock Entry Must Include: ‣ Adult Horse/Pony ‣ Tack Requirements: ‣ A Bridle ‣ A Jump Saddle ‣ Background Requirements: ‣ Background relating to Show Jumping May use as many items and/or decor as you want. You may be as creative as you want with how you use items As you tackle the boldly stated fences, from Oxers, Liverpools, and the daring Triple Combination - how does your horse stand up to the challenge? Did they knock a rail, or become unnerved at the flashy standards? Maybe they did make it under time! But can you remember the Jump-Off Course?!? Parade It's time to wave to your adoring crowd! Or are they more interested in your beautiful horse... You're on the March Down Main Street! Entry Must Include: ‣ Adult Horse/Pony ‣ Tack Requirements: ‣ At least Two (2) Matching Tack Items Does not include items from the 'Extras' section ‣ Background Requirements: ‣ Background relating to your Parade Theme May use as many items and/or decor as you want. The High School Band is several sections ahead of you giving it their all on the drums and brass instruments. Behind you a truck pulling a decked out float for the local Veterans with a color guard walking flapping flags. Don't worry - you've prepared for all of this, and your horse is acting like a perfect pro. The iconic sounds of hooves on pavement set all eyes on you. Sit up tall and wave to your fans! Drill Team This is NOT a drill! Paired up with another horse and rider, you get ready to step into the arena. The music cues and everyone heads in single file. It's a synchronized dance routine that is all about coordination and perfection. Entry Must Include: ‣ Two (2) Adult Horse/Pony Up to Four (4) horses Stables Can Work Together to Create a Drill Team! ‣ Tack Requirements: ‣ At least One (1) Tack Item (for each horse) ‣ At least One (1) Tack Item from the Extra section (for each) (Mane/Tail/Hoof/Paint Dye) ‣ Must have a Matching Theme across all horses ‣ Background Requirements: ‣ Background Relating to Drill Team Riding May use as many items and/or decor as you want. You may be as creative as you want with how you use items You read that right - You must include Two Horses for this class, but may enter up to Four. The Catch: They have to all be matching! Place your last minute bets as the jockeys are legged up and led away to the Starting Gates. And...THEY'RE OFF!!!! The field flies through the first turn! The leaders are jostling for the front! Through the backside - ohh! The Underdog is making his move! Weaving through the mid field as they pass one, two, three horses! Around the second turn - jockeys struggling to find purchase on the rail. AND Look At That! The Underdog is flying! Absolutely Flying as they come around to the Homestretch! Stride By Stride! The Sure-Win is loosing lengths to the Underdog. Can they keep up this Pace! Down to the Wire! It's a Photo Finish Folks! A Nose Ahead!!! The catch riders and ponies head to collect the race horses and lead the winner to the victory circle to receive their roses! • It is highly encouraged to be creative and think outside the box - you don't have to use traditional tack always, as long as it can be reasoned, it will be accepted. • It is not required to be extravagant - if you only have an item or two, go for it!
