Hello all! I just found this forum but i thought I'd join in with a few things I think I can achieve before the end of this year 😅 HEE Goals: My goals right now are to breed a WWW TB, and hopefully in the future branch that out to WWW Dd, Prl & Tobi cross TBs :D Id also like to start up a SH line after I expand a bit and get into showing, since SH seems to be easier than most. IRL Goals: Finishing nursing school is my biggest one, hoping to graduate in May! My sister just got her nursing license so I'm hoping to be up there with her soon. I also just had my first clutch of Ball Python morphs! Breeding started as a hobby, and now is a part time business! Super excited to introduce more morphs to my collection though. (Yes I'm a bit sparatic, my hobbies are everywhere XD) Last, but not least, I'm (hoping) to get back into reining this year with my AQHA girl. I just got her, freshly 3yo as of 3 months ago and already got her under saddle, just need to work on ground work but hopefully we'll be in the ring by mid- next year! |

Gryffenwise Goals (December Update) RL Goals: 1. Start exercising every day 2. Learn to cook, so I can eat healthier 3. Lose 20 lbs (I always had trouble gaining and keeping weight, now for the first time, I need to lose some!) Update 1: Bought some equipment so I can continue to work out indoors, while the weather is crappy/freezing. Learned to cook soup, biscuits, and lean meat without burning them, so-- win! Update 2: Am exercising every other day now, and stopped gaining weight. Haven't lost any yet, but have stopped gaining, so...win. Have learned how to cook quite a few dishes without burning the food...most of the time lol. Update 3: Still exercising every other day. Had a bunch of small problems that amounted to me having a vitamin/mineral deficiency, but that's cleared up since I started taking a multivitamin. Have finally learned to make lasagna without burning or undercooking it. And lastly, I've lost 5 lbs so far! Update 4: Exercising every day, six days a week now. Maintaining the 5 lbs lost so far, so I'm happy with that. 15 more to go! Doing my best to add more veggies to my diet, but keeping the produce fresh past three days is proving to be a bit of a challenge-particularly greens! Update 5: exercising, check. Cooking, check. Lose 20 lbs, still working on it. 7 lbs down, 13 lbs to go! Update 6: Down 10 lbs, 10lbs to go! Update 7: So this last month, I lost 6 lbs, then gained it all back, then dropped 2 again. So 12 down, 8 lbs to go! Update #8 - I got sick a Lot this last month, so I wasn't as active. I didn't lose any weight, but I didn't gain any, either. Update #9 - Got sick 3 more times last month, but have been cold-free for the last week and a half, so--WIN! Went down 3 pounds, so I only have 5 more to go! HEE Goals: 1. Breed a 2nd WWW - completed 2. Improve my TB and AA lines (both color and ratings) Update 1: January was a bust on everything, lol. Update 2: February and March were also full busts in the ratings department. As for color, well...most of them are PPP frame, splash, or tobino. Frame in particular is trying to take over my barn. Update 3: April gave me a couple of Ws, so it wasn't a complete bust. This month gave me my second WWW in the form of a chestnut colt! Colorwise, it's improved to PEP and SEEs. Still mostly frame and splash, but getting some tobi and spots in too. Update 4: Getting quite the smattering of SEEs theses days. Frame is trying to take over my barn. My saving grace right now is that my Arabs are showing a particular affinity for silver. Update 5: July RO sucked hard. My best was three EEEs. On the bright side, two of them were girls, so....there's that. And my boy has spots, so...I'm happy. Tobi is making strides in my barn, and I'm starting to push frame into a more manageable position. I'm getting spots in my barns, as well as silver. Update 6: So August and this months' ROs both sucked as bad as - and worse than - July's. On the bright side, my color project is going great! And, while I hadn't planned on doing an SD project, my luck appears to be leaning that way, lol. Update 7: Color is exploding, and ratings are going up! I downsized my operations, and I think that helped. Update #8-- First off, I had a fantastic RO this month! And while the Colt Curse was is full swing for my top matches, I got a WWW PON! I have continued to aquire color for my barns, and my SD TBs are going steady with the Ws. My Arabs are slowly getting into the swing of SD as well. Again, not my initial plan, but ...it's happening now. Update #9 - My goal for color is complete! I have spots galore and a fair amount of tobi scattered around. As far as ratings go, I'm happy with my SD TBs. All I have left is to get my Arabs into the swing of things. |

I've been running with my dog around my estate, which we both love, and I like to believe I'm getting fitter as we go, so yay :) - HEE: Waiting to breed... ;) .. Edit: yeah no went shit. One match. EEE Colt. WHY RO GODS. CURSE THEE October - December I decided to take a little break from HEE as constant bad results just wasn't giving me the same fun as before, and I didn't have the energy to try and start pretty much all over again to get better results. I'm starting to come back now and am starting to believe I'm getting somewhere with some of my younger PONs. So, I'm glad with that. I'd say that by the time the year ends, my goal might not be completed in the way I envisioned originally, but I have a nice outbreed WW mare who is giving me some nice babies and things are starting to look up! She may not be breed by me, but I more than glad with how far I've gotten since the start of the year. . . Real life wise, I am so much happier than the start of the year. I get out and do things now, hang out with friends, am active! It's such a large improvement from sitting in my room all day like I was at the start of the year. My dog unfortunately broke his toe so our running plans have been stopped, but I've been out competiting on my horse and improving on him instead. I've figure out so much about myself this year (mainly in terms of gender identity) so I feel much more comfortable in how I present to people, boosting up how I feel about myself. I've still got things I'd love to do to be what I believe now to be truly me (like cut my hair... It's on the to do list!) But I am so much more comfortable in myself and I am so glad that I am :)
My final update for the year. I can say that after this ride of a year, I've gotten so much healthier both mentally and physically. I am handling my depression and anxiety much better, just maybe not quite on top of it yet. But I myself am so proud of all the progress I have made and hope that in 2023 things keep going up :) . HEE wise I'd like to think I have improved as well, just maybe not quite as much. I'm still however proud of the progress I've made and I hope that next year, I continue to work hard and keep getting my breeding program up. . Lastly, I want to say a massive thank you to Gym for making this contest and encouraging us to keep setting goals and trying to improve our selves. It's been great to see everyone's progress throughout the year and I am so proud of all of you, whether your goals were completed or not. You guys are all so amazing, and good luck for all your goals next year as well :) |

Final update (I think)!
Real Life: - Get 3 people on my mare's back in one day without her bucking a single one. (Completed!) - Create a decent song that I like. - Go on a successful trail ride with my mare. - Compete in a western show. - Get my mare to stop bucking. (Re-Added, she's started bucking again -.-) - Teach my mare to stand still. (Completed) - Pass all my classes with a B or higher (Done! Lowest grade was a B+!) HEE Goals: - Breed a 1/1 (Completed) - Breed an EEE (Completed) - Breed a 1/50 or below EEE (Completed) - Breed a horse with a WEE combo (Completed) - Breed a WWW (Completed) - Breed a WWW 1/1 TB mare - Get a successful art shop going (Almost Completed; I had a good one going but had to close it due to being busy) - Earn 100k ebs from art sales (Completed) - Improve in manips (Completed! Learned lots of new tricks so far, and still am learning!) |

I only just found this but I am going to enter with some short-term goals for the last month and a half of the year! Hopefully, I can achieve them! Goals ~ Have over 100 horses entered with my BM (currently have 65) ~Have a homebred foal hit the LBs ~Reach 1 million ebs I know these are small goals but with only really December left I wanted to stay realistic with stuff I can hopefully reach! If you do this again for 2023 I would 100% join with some of my bigger goals like breeding a WWW! To be able to accomplish my goals I will have to fill one more barn with show horses! And get another barn to house the last few of my showing army. I plan on trying to breed the rest of my showing stock but I might have to buy a few more horses. To get one of my horses on an LB I am not 100% what to do, lol. I think I will aim to continue to show my horses lots and advertise my up-and-coming WWE SH stallion for the 161 RO! With any luck, he will make the freshman LBs. If not I have hope one of my homebred foals will be a strong shower and land a spot on at least one LB!
I have reaches all but two. I reached 1 million ebs yesterday! and I have over 100 horses entered with my BM! I, unfortunately, don't have a homebred on the LBs yet but I will carry that goal into the new year! |
