Peter pulled the covers over himself and tried to sleep. He had a check-up at the hospital in the morning and knew they might re-admit him if they weren't satisfied with how he was doing. He hoped Jules got some rest too.

She led Trouble around, "I'm sorry buddy.." she rubbed his face and he snorted leaning against her. She smiled sadly again, she knew he needed box rest and wouldn't like that, she knew this was going to be tough for both of them, she thought of Peter and realized this was all messed up.

Peter eventually got to sleep but he was still rather restless. He checked his phone whenever he did stir although wasn't feeling very optimistic.

She iced his leg and sat in his stall all night, she fell a sleep on a hay bale.

Even though he hadn't slept too well Peter did feel considerably better by morning, physically at least. His parents commented that he wasn't looking so pale anymore. He guessed that was a good sign but could still barely manage a smile, pretty certain he'd been dumped.

She woke, started morning feed by herself.

Peter went to his appointment where they confirmed he was making good progress and could resume some gentle exercise although obviously being careful of his arm. He took a deep breath as he sent Jules another message. *Doctor says I don't need to stay in bed now. Hope you feel better too?*

She finally saw that Peter had reached out and she sent very short messages, "That's good glad your feeling better, not really to be honest" she sent it, putting her phone back in her pocket

Peter was glad to get a message back from Jules but of course not so happy to read she wasn't feeling good. It sounded quite serious for her to even admit to that considering how tough she had been regarding her injury. *Thanks and sorry to hear you're not. Anything I can do?* He hoped he wasn't bugging her too much but he couldn't help feel concerned.

"Make my horse better" she typed back with a sad emoji, she felt horrible for messing up her own horse, she wants to take back her victory and wished for a healthy horse.
