He looked up from where he was laying on the ground when he heard Amber's footsteps approaching. He waved and sat up. Fire Stoem looked at him and grinned and he stuck his tongue out at her. "If you say a single word, I will personally throw you into the lake for the clams to bite your toes and slowly get you." She burst out laughing. "is that the best insult you have?" He threw his arms in the air. "I'm starting to run out after 10 years of insulting you nearly every day," he groaned, teasingly. She chuckled and shook her head, then sat back and waved at Amber.

Amber quickly shuts up and waves back at them "Alright Sage, hold still!" She puts new herbs on his wound "hold still I said!!" She starts to giggle internally holding back her smile "This might hurt a little bit..ok no this might hurt like a bitch but bear with me!" She begins to stitch his wound up with smaller, tighter stitches than what he had done earlier.

It did hurt like a bitch, but he was always getting himself hurt. He grit his teeth and focused on breathing normally. When he stitched himself up, the stitches weren't as tight or small, and didnt hurt as much as the tighter ones. Ok, to be fair, he was already in immense pain when he sews himself up, and he wasnt right now, so that was also a factor. Just dont scream, Sage. Keep breathing and deal with it. He let his hair flop in front of his eyes so Amber wouldnt see him squeezing them shut. It was all he could do not to make any noises out of pain.

Amber side eyes Sage while sowing him up

"Jesus Christ just scream already, let out the pain!" She says in disbelief while shoving his hair out of his eyes

"you may look like a 'man' but you don't have to always act like one"

she finishes the stitches and signals to Smaug and Kayda, they scamper off in two different directions and she sends Nymeria flying high in the air

"be careful!" She shouts

Amber slumps down beside Sage while studying Fire Storm and baby GiGi

"lemme guess, Fire storm is a...sassy dragon?" She jokes

He grunted, catching his breath since he had resorted to holding it a while back. "That's one way to put it, he muttered." Then he grinned. "Do I really look like I act like a man all the time? Men are boring! They sit in an office or something all day! And they're old," he chuckled.

Amber laughs "my point exactly! You're old AND your boring" she jokes.

Amber can't help but look at Sage the whole time

-Man this guy makes me want to smile and laugh all the time, what is wrong with me?!- she thinks

He crossed his arms and raised an eyebrow at Amber? "Old and boring, huh? I guess almost being killed by someone wasn't exciting enough for ya huh," he joked sarcastically. Then he had a sudden thought. "How old do you think I am, exactly?" He cocked his head a bit, genuinely curious. He looked older than he was - the years of living on his own and his 'profession' did that he knew - but he was still curious. And how old was the girl? Ok, now I'm debating life in general. Great.

"Ah, thank you." Elijah turned his amber eyes onto the suspicious man. "No, I am not. I think you can judge whether I am a dragon freer or not based on what I am wearing. However, I did train my Winterwinder and my Ice-Cutter. And yes, I am a dragon tamer." Zai took that moment to wake up and slide clumsily off Atayi's back. With her ears pricked and nose to the ground, she wound through the camp and bumped into Eli's legs. He bent to pick her up, and she sneezed from all the new scents. "...Okay. As long as nobody tries to catch either of my dragons. This is Zai, by the way." He pointed at Atayi, who looked quite derpy at the moment. "That's Atayi. She isn't that weird, usually." Eli sat near the cook, assuming he was a respectable man. He placed Zai in his lap, she was sitting bolt upright with her nose quivering.

"HA killing people is my specialty" she joked. Amber remembers her sword and picks it up to clean off the blood.
"why did you help me fight him? I had him!" She asked nervously

Amber sits cleaning the sword for a while making sure everything inch of it was perfectly clean.

He snorted. "Are you kidding me? Fighting people is the only fun I get around here. Everything else is try and find enough food, look after Fire Storm, set dragons free and try not to get myself killed, stuff like that." Watching Amber clean her sword reminded him of his own weapon, and he picked his dagger up and wiped it on his pants to clean it. He hid it again and glanced over at Amber again. "But seriously, exactly how old do you think I am? You can't call me old without giving me a good reason," he chuckled.
