Nope. Not too big. They have been eating hoppers the entire time I have had him- I double and triple checked the temps today- perfect. I am going to put a govvee that will track overnight and see what happens. But if it is a temp thing I can just move him to another room where it stays warmer.

Oof, I have a herpstat. I currently use a halogen for basking and a DHP for ambient. I used to use the heat mat mostly at night, but now I don't think I will get one, ever.

If the thermostat and heat mat malfunction- you run the risk of the mat burning your snake.
There is risks with everything- I personally prefer a CHE or DHP myself. I bred ball pythons- and only used belly heat on my racks. I checked thermostats like a mad man and dished out several grand on them.

Celeste, could be many different things. They shouldn't regurgitate their food. It's not healthy for them and only a few reasons they would, something startled the snake. Temperature can be an issue but wouldnt be the reason for regurgitating the food if it already thought it was fine enough to eat it and started to. Most snakes if it's too cold will refuse to eat it at all.

It could be maybe it got stuck? Was it a bit too big for him/her?

Aw :( Hope you feel better<3 Not so good either, my trainer got mad at me for galloping my horse on soft ground :/ Shes not lame or anything either so things arenÂ’t good between us rn. I was with my friend too and shes mad at her too

@Celeste, dang I thought thermostats made heat mats safe. >.<

They had a thermostat. If you want to see the pics you may.
I will never use a heat mat ever after this. The snake underwent treatment and ultimately passed away. Not worth it to me.

Ok I guess. Life it crazy busy and I got sick, again. Dunno why so much lol. You?

I have a lot of experience with various snakes- I rescued for awhile.
But I am almost always able to pin point why- but this, I better call a detective at this point because I am clueless.

I have a CHE light fixture and heat mat on a thermostat that's regulated through my bluetooth on my phone

I have a heat Mat. But that's why you must get a thermostat...

He regurgitated his last meal.
Mouse Hopper fed on Saturday, found regurgitated today.

@Celeste, I had one in my enclosure before I upgraded, but got rid of it because I didn't think it was necessary since I have overhead heating.

I do not recommend a heat mat- not after the surrender we got at the rescue. They malfunction and can get searingly hot.

What happened to the snake?

Vix Yeah it has!

@Celeste, huh that is a bit odd. I never let my enclosure drop below 70 either and in doing my research people say a lot of snakes can tolerate as low as 65 or 60 at night.

Match 1:

Mare Link: https://horseeden.com/horse.php?id=33029585

Stallion Link: https://horseeden.com/horse.php?id=28744997

Additions: None

Estimated Total: 225k Straw = 225k

Comments: This stud is lacking movement, but would compensate for her other weaknesses. He also has upper ABLB placement which is a plus for future progeny. I would add a Mvt Glass if you wish to exceed your budget. Otherwise, decent match.

Match 2

Mare Link: https://horseeden.com/horse.php?id=33029585

Stallion Link: https://horseeden.com/horse.php?id=29854179

Additions: Hrt Glass

Estimated Total: 150k Straw, 100k Glass = 250k

Comments: This stud is lacking heart, but would compensate for her other weaknesses. He also has upper ABLB placement which is a plus for future progeny. Probably your second best match if you were to use a Mvt Glass on the first, or your best match if you were not to use a glass for the first.

So for stallions matching would be different since you wouldn't exactly be sending him to one specific mare. For the best possible outcome I would make sure you breed him to the highest rated mares possible, I would set an EWW combo breeding restriction. Make sure you run a straw thread and post it regularly in sales chat. Find some quality mares to line him up with ahead of time. I would look for mid level WW combo broods. He seems to lack in Str so look for mares strong in that. Specifically WWE mares would likely be the best match for him. Hope this helps!

Match 1

Mare Link: https://horseeden.com/horse.php?id=32732677

Stallion Link: https://horseeden.com/horse.php?id=31140691

Additions: Int Glass

Estimated Total: 50k Straw, 100k Glass = 150k

Comments: The stud lacks in intelligence and she isn't the strongest in that. I would use a glass to ensure best results. He falls into your requirements beautifully so I think he would be an excellent option. Of the two this is the better option.

Match 2

Mare Link: https://horseeden.com/horse.php?id=32732677

Stallion Link: https://horseeden.com/horse.php?id=32727925

Additions: None

Estimated Total: 100.5k Straw = 100.5k

Comments: Personally I would add a speed straw to this one because it is his biggest weakness and not one of her biggest strengths. Otherwise this will be an alright match, not as good as the other but could result in some nice color. I would go with the first match but if you could get a glass then consider this one for color reasons.
