So i want to try and get appy PON and i thought KNN would be a good idea to try it ~ ~ I just want to know if it would be a good idea since KNN are already a hard breed.. ~ I still am waiting for her wk 7 for the match to be 100% Edited at April 4, 2023 08:13 PM by The Undercity

I would definitely wait for her week 7, it's too early to tell what her strengths/weaknesses are so I can't tell if they match solidly or not :)

Hello! So I'm not a pro but if you find one that matches your PON perfectly. I would wait for week 7. I hope that helps though! I wish you best of luck! :)) Edited at April 4, 2023 08:19 PM by Wild Ranch

They're both pretty solid in terms of what they've got on record so far so unless the wk7 makes the match super unbalanced I don't see any issues.

I agree about waiting until week 7. But as someone who has tried KNN/PON crossing a LOT, to achieve appy PON. I would highly suggest trying a short appy SH boy. The KNN/PON matches that I have tried, ended up very weak. These matches were all svenned, and top LB horses. While the KNNs have come a long way. They still cant compete with the SH blood just yet. Just my 2 cents, No matter what you choose. I hope you get something great! :)

I would wait too, but it looks like a decent match, considering the sire has produced many Ws. But you can't tell what rates are in the mare's lines, so it's a little risky too. But I say go for it after her week 7! ~HP

I would say if you're going to go with a KNN, do one of the top 2 boys. Those are obviously able to compete with SH since they're on the ABLB in the 60s. I would guess there's a pretty big gap between the top 2 boys and the rest of the top KNN studs, since the former #2 boy (now retired) fell off the ABLB pretty early into his career. So I would suggest using Poseidon, the current #2, instead. He's only 14.3 hh so you'd have an even better height chance than with Knight, and he still has decent color.
