Agh I am so angry right now. People are stealing flashy or expensive breeds in the neighborhood I live in. The first sign I saw appear was in December 2020 I believe. A small, elderly dog got scared from fireworks and took off. Then, there was a puppy (10 weeks old) Belgian Malinois female who was taken. Those dogs are really expensive where we live, everyone wants one, and she was flashy. Then there was a blue merle Autralian Shepherd taken. Also flashy and expensive here. And then a shiba inu, again a wanted breed. These signs have all appeared within the last month or so. Police havent been patrolling, a TON of druggies and criminals about, and a ton of lost dogs. Coincidence? Doubtful. Then yesterday, there was a male Australian Heeler(?) blue merle, no collar, no leash, looking terrified in my backyard. Went out to see if I could catch him and see if anyone owned him. He took off, and I followed him for awhile, but eventually lost his trail. This morning, I saw the dog I mentioned earlier (elderly and lost) run by as I was walking my dog. I tried to get him, but he was very scared (no collar or anything, but clearly the dog). As Im following him, the dog dashes my multiple people, NONE who try and stop him or even reach out their hand. Like what the actual flying fuck? Cant you see the small, skinny, terrified dog who is about to get hit by a car? I cant catch him because he is so small and darting in and out of the street. Oh, and 2 neighbors (that I know of) have been robbed, and people are taking down the lost dog signs. Im absolutely in awe, and seriously angry, as well as terrified. Lucky is a husky, (and expensive and wanted breed). Im terrified that someone is going to snatch him. Ah, and people are driving down the streets doing drugs. The police havent been patrolling, its absolutely ridiculous. *sigh* So uh. Thats my rant. |

god i understand!i hate when people are just too wrapped up in their own lives that they dont care that a dog could be hit by a car. and the police...what? |

Oh geez, that sounds horrible! Take extra precautions, don't lose Lucky! I hope that your neighborhood gets the dogs returned home! It's terrible that so many have gone missing/possibly been stolen! |

It is so frustrating. It isnt so hard to snap out of being self absorbed for one moment to do a good thing. We dont have our own police, we have a few that come down from the main branch to help and patrol. But recently, theres been maybe one car patrolling once a week, and really just driving around, not doing anything. |

Thank you. Im considering getting a can of pepper spray. We live by the border, so people are already pretty cautious, but we've been needing to be extra on guard recently with no one patrolling. I hope the dogs are found aswell. It breaks my heart to know that so many are lost or stolen, and angers me that no one will do anything about it. |

Yus haha. I think Ill just walk around with a bag of kibble and treats in my pocket :p Poor Lucky haha. Im not sure. The three dogs I suspect were stolen I havent seen. That blue merle dog was pretty panicked, maybe he managed to escape? The lil tiny dog Im pretty sure actually got lost. |

Lmao imagine you get pulled over r something and the cop for some weird reasons wants you to ten out your pockets, and it's just dog food. I feel bad for the panicked dog, did you get to see him again? |
