So. Not many (if any) will fully understand what's going on here, but I'm just that mad. Please don't bring out the pity committee or shit because that's not really what I need here. Onto story time. So my youngest cousin, a girl 12 years old, rides pony at the same barn as I do. She and her family leased a medium pony so she could do Pony Finals this year. Turns out the pony was bit more difficult than they'd hoped but he was a sweet little guy. So they went campaigning around to five horse shows in two and a half months hoping to damn qualify for Pony Finals. And at their last show where they could, they were there for the longest damn time waiting for results. So the gate lady finally got the results, totaled them up and said they qualified. Some tears and many hugs occurred and they drove back home so so happy. Here's where it turns bad. Now, two weeks later, they sent in the show results to USEF, who runs the whole thing. Turns out the gate lady missed one of the classes when she totaled up, and my cousin didn't qualify. But it would seem the woman who runs the show knew but to took her merry time sending in results and leading us on. My poor cousin is crying and now we have to decide what: lease out a pony for Pony Finals, do three other shows instead, and my trainer and the trainer who helped at the show are chatting it up with USEF for the show lady's issues. Like I said, I'm so angry I'm numb at this point. Damn horse shows. Edited at June 30, 2021 01:11 PM by Memory Lane Equine

Qualifiers can be so heartbreaking and thats a lot of money showing for the points to not matter. I really hope they can resolve this for your cousin! If not, is there still time to do one last show to qualify in?

Nope the deadline was the 21st. We're dearly hoping to lease a pony that's pre-qualified just for pony finals.
