Definitely palomino ;)
If you´d know which HMA the mare is from, you can easily search FB for one of the "mustang tracking photographers" for this HMA.
Most wild family groups are very well documented and they can probably tell you which stud might be the sire.
And they might tell you the "wild range name" from your mare.

Okay yall I made a forum a while ago about my mustang mare I bought and was looking for name ideas well yall helped a lot and gave a ton of great names well my mare had a foal so the day of pickup for her has been delayed till June then I am able to go pick them both up but now I am looking for name ideas for this little one. I am trying to get more and better pictures from the corral but so far this is the only picture I have. Also what color do y'all think this little one is I can't tell if it's palomino, a champagne color, or what I know it's hard to tell from a picture and from just one picture with not the best angle or lighting. But I'd like to get just an idea of what color he/she is or could be.

Champagne is extremely rare in mustangs.
I would say palomino. Can't be a double cream dilute because the mare is clearly bay

Carrowmore I've seen champagne foals come from bays it's not common but I've seen it happen. And I said champagne as an option as I couldn't completely tell with the one picture and angle of the foal in the picture but I was thinking champagne as the coloring of the foal seemed a little more coppery and closer to the champagne coloring then the palomino coloring. But thanks for the information it was greatly appreciated.
and @ocean view thank you, I can't wait to be able to pick them up and be able to see them in person and get to work with them.

This foal cannot be a palomino if the mother is bay!!!! If he had a single copy of the Cr gene from the sire he would be buckskin.
It may be a very light chestnut that will settle into its color with age, or it could be pearl (this is rare but possible in horses of "Spanish descent"). Maybe champagne, but this foal doesn't really have the look you'd expect of amber champagne, which is the variety you'd get from a bay mare.
But sometimes it's hard to tell a horse's exact coloring when they're this young, it should make itself more obvious as he/she gets older!
EDIT: I forgot bays can carry red <facepalm> that's what you get for commenting in the weird hours of the night :L

You can easily get a palomino foal from a bay horse. If the mare is hetero black and doesn't pass the black, the foal can be red based. Add creme and you get palomino. Mares don't always pass their exact color to their foals. I have a bay paint pony mare that I bred to my cremello stallion, and her second foal with him was palomino paint. Her parents were both bays, but they were not homo black, so one of them passed on a red gene, which she gave to her palomino daughter. My pony barely barely looks bay due to her having 4 tall white stockings and white markings over most of her mane and tail, but there are a few black hairs in her tail and her forelock is black.

all I know is that she is from Double Devil wild horse I'm not sure exactly which herd she is from they don't say when they adopt and sell them out.
