He is still skinny and kinda funny looking but he is cute undersaddle. My trainer liked him to which was super cool considering he is a cheap, average OTTB gelding and she has high class Gypsy Vanners and 2* event horses lol. Baloo is hard not to like xD

Ahh, he's so gorgeous! And look at that face, haha. Very excited to hear more about him, amazing work with him so far. :D

So, Baloo is a barn favorite for sure lol. We had another lesson today as well where we worked on his rhythm and keeping him off his forehand. I hadn't ever ridden with or worked at a barn until now so it is nice to have a "barn family". I have known my trainer and her horses for years so I don't really have to get to know many people. Riding event horses is really something that is new to me and going to events is going to be whole new territory but this is a dream of mine. With that said, Baloo and I will be consistently progressing in my trainers program and showing on the team in the 2021 show season is the big plan. Baloo is nothing short of an angel day in and day out for me at home at at the facility. We hack out alone after our lessons in the pasture and on the lake trails and he is a total gem. Will continue to update of course. Baloo is back home and should go back to the barn next weekend :D

So, it was a long day at the barn and I don't feel like writing up an update but here's a picture of him post-ride in the crossties. He is at the barn again tonight so we will have another lesson tomorrow
