Barns just ensure no breeding you don't want wity Stallions and mares in the same pasture

pastures help feed your horses depending on the grass quality(which goes down the longer they're there and the number of horses) but it also allows mares and stallions to breed freely, so if you buy a pasture I advice putting foals and/or geldings in it :)

also, is there a benefit to buying barns over pastures for horses? i know they can be used to grow hay but i assume not at the same time they're holding horses lol

Ugh. Once I get the next 3 ROs out of the way, I'm done. Showing only, will cut down on my mates and brood the remainder out. I'm getting sick of trying to play catch up game with funding every RO

yep<3 I'd suggest saving up a bot more and buying a new barn/pasture instead :)

so no impact on how they show, only bravery?

Nope. Better to buy a barn and get show geldings so you have more money to rinse and repeat, and THEN buy a round pen. Pens are only really good if your main focus is bravery.

top - if you are going to be heavy into Bravery, then yes.

only if you want to breed horses with good bravery, but they don't make you any money :3

The last couple rides have been basic flat work, pretty much everything we've done for any other ride.
We do plan on going to a combined training event at the end of June (dressage and SJ) so that will be super fun. I don't ultimately plan on him being an eventer but for the experience I'm all in. I am leaning more toward Baloo being a Hunter and also doing some jumpers. Later this year or early next year I plan on joining the Take2 OTTB organization that provided TB classes at the rates shows but they are all 3' to 3'3" so we have some work to do until then.

Since I don't really have many updates for you guys right now feel free to ask questions whether they are about me and my experiences, Baloo, my past horses, achievements, future plans etc. I'd love to hear about you guys as well!
Do y'all have horses? If so what are their names and breeds? What do you do discipline wise too? Lol, let's keep this thread alive
