I remember taking my first horse trail riding this was when I had no confidence and wasn't very good at riding well I got off to walk her haha she was having no of it tried to run me over multiple times. I soon got really confident with her and went out nearly every nice day we had

It was a pretty terrifying experience, first time he's ever reared with a rider on his back. Somehow I stayed on and got back in control before he could get seriously injured. At lie old place we had to rude along a very busy road then cross the main road, we didn't actually get onto the common at that place. At this place we have to get down the drive and cross the main road. We can either go to the muddy place straight across from us or go down a very quiet lane to get onto another part

Yes that would make a difference lol. I’m not doing trails right now because I just don’t have a horse that can handle it. The horse I am looking at would though.

It was a bit of a stupid mistake I made, we'd only just moved to a new place and I assumed he was going to be fine, it also didn't help that we turned away from a horse he barely knew

You need to make sure he isn’t doing that. Some endurance rides can have a lot of horses there doing a lot of different things. And some people aren’t to good at controlling their horses either. I’ve had someone brush against me,
My horse didn’t even blink, I just guided her through the situation and moved on.

Roleys never been on a hack before really, he used to be a wild boy on Dartmoor, not sure what he'll do when we actually get onto the common. He's amazing in traffic we're just focusing on getting him down the drive confidently, that way we can cross the road and go the short way to the common

I've never really done anything like it before. Every year a local equestrian club does a 10 mile pleasure ride, thinking of aiming for that next year, I think Roley will love that sort of thing

@Megan's Meadows: I like your idea. I think there are already too many good foals being free ranged at the moment, because they have no E in their ratings. There should be a possibility in training them to catch up the rating.

That was actually not what I meant. You can't and shouldn't improve a horse's rating. Just make it harder to achieve an E rating instead of inventing a whole new rating. Sorry, if it's been misunderstood

I'm only concerned because of the number of levels of ratings the game has. It started out 3, then 4, now 5. With 6 different ratings there will be a vast spread of quality numbers and even P horses will now be seen as sub-par. So right now 3/5 of the ratings are undesirable and one is only really acceptable if the top rating is also in the mix. This would make 4/6 ratings undesirable. So 2/3 of the possible ratings are going to be immediate FR material. I would think that a tweaking at the bottom end might also be necessary. Perhaps make Sub-Par and maybe even Average only show up through poorly-planned breeding (or really bad luck with the random variance) and take them out of the capture mix so that wild horses might be a valuable part of breeding programs again. You'd still have a fair number of FR wild horses, as the S and P ratings would be perceived as trash-bin ratings.

But they're trash ratings for a reason? Why should the bad ratings be made more desirable? S is already a bad rating and P is slowly falling off because EEEs are getting so common as it is.

If we didn't add a new rating the old bad quality EEEs would turn into PPPs instead and then everyone is going to complain that they lost their EEEs.

And highly rated wilds are supposed to be crazy hard to get or else everyone would be doing it and the market would tank.

Everyone says that EEE are fairly common now, but not once have i ever had one on any of my accounts, or bred one..

And even with that, they cost a fortune still considering how common everyone says they are that its nearly impossible to get one..

Then get better stock, get a gelding army to support you financially.

It's not even close to "Impossible" to get an EEE with the market how it is now. Go into auctions, flip through a few. There are many going for less than 50k. You just have to look.

To all the people who are worried about how the smaller stables will have it worse than the larger more "successful" stables. Just think, how did they get there?
With time, strategy, basic understanding of how to earn money!
I get it, I'm considered a small stable on both of my accounts. I have bred almost eight EEE's this year. THIS YEAR, and I only started this account last year when I started playing this again a lot more. You just need to know how to get better stock and matching, how to save and spend money correctly. It's not hard, you just got to learn the system of how things work.

By the way I would love to have a new rating added. Last night I suggested L in chat, and some people liked it. L is for "Laughing at the EEE's"

This account was created on July 26th 2019. I have 7 EEEs, 3 of which I produced myself. EEEs are dirt cheap at auctions and easy to produce with taking the time to match horses to the best candidates for breeding. Tracking the training helps, using LB horses helps, culling weak producers helps. If you do none of those things, then don't complain when you don't get a good result.

They are also dirt cheap, a breeding age EEE stallion starts at 40k just from using the search horses function. I found a breeding age mare for 45k.

If you just use broods and straws rather than buying horses you can get pretty good foals that way too.

I think this might clear some things up:

I, in no way, know how this game works, but I do know that horses have to meet certain criteria to have certain ratings. And we all know an EEE can still be weak as another may be strong. But we all know there has to be some sort of scale to determine strength or weaknesses.
---

It wouldn't any way impact the current strength of current horses. For instance, say.. a rating requires 600 points to be an E.

Maybe the new rating will require 1000 points to be changed or achieved. If a horse already achieved those points, it's still the same as before, just with a new rating.

--

This implementation will help the economy for all breeds. KNN, PON, RID will still remain, cause you still have to work on that scale to keep moving up.

They are fairly common, especially in breeds like SH and ISH.
it's not nearly impossible.
I've literally gotten EEE producing EEE out of PEE×PPP combos because I matched my horses. My sister bought an EEE for 1k because he was unrated and sold by a free stable. 🤷‍♀️
