Short Story | Miracle Baby

A young girl who was betrayed by her own family.

A rich, gentleman who usually keeps to himself, but notices a young, homeless, beautiful pregnant girl.

Chapter One

She held a hand against her small bump showing on her stomach as she walked the streets of a large city. It was a warm, windy day and needless to say, it was gorgeous out. The wind blew through her long, silky, dark wavy hair, her sad, dull, yet pale, blue eyes scanning around for anything to eat.

It's been a few weeks since she fled from the country, away from her family. That's when she moved to the U.S. They betrayed her. They are the reason she is carrying this baby inside her. Her father wasn't a nice man and got himself into some trouble with a Mafia man, and lets just say, she paid her fathers price as her brother watched her torment, amused.

She spotted a small bag that seemed to have a little food in it. She limped her way there on her sore and aching muscles and picked it up, ignoring the nasty stares she was receiving from people. She opened the bag and looked to see a, surprisingly, non eaten salad. She could feel her eyes stinging with tears as she started to walk back down into a dim alley to feed her baby.

She didn't have a choice.

He raked a hand through his thick, black hair as the handsome gentleman drove through the streets on his way to work in his black, shiny mustang. He was talking on the phone with his caring mother when he pulled into starbucks and got out and grabbed an iced coffee. He paid and finally his mother let him go so he could continue his way to work.

He walked out of the building and to his car, opening his door but stopped as he saw a beautiful woman walking down the street. He closed his door and leaned against his car, watching her. The hand on her stomach rubbing her belly, where a noticeable bump was. Anyone could see she was pregnant.

His eyes widened as she grabbed a bag by a trashcan and looked through it. He could clearly see the teary eyes she fought. He could feel his own heart clench for the poor women. He gazed as she walked into an alley and he did what he thought was best. He went with what his heart wanted.

He followed the young, homeless, beautiful pregnant girl.

Chapter Two
.
He walked into the dim alley way searching for that girl. He spotted some movement and heard faint cries, seemingly of pain. He hurried towards the noise and stopped in his tracks as he saw the girl sobbing faintly into her hands, the baggy next to her. He went to take another step but that's when she noticed him and her eyes widened in fear and she cried harder, holding her stomach as to protect her child.
He raised his hands in surrender. “I do not mean harm, I swear it,” He said softly, his deep voice echoing in the alley way. She still shook, her small, limp and petite body shivering. He didn't know if it was from her lack of clothes or fear.
“P-please… I don't want any trouble. Just leave,” Her small voice trembled as she tried scurrying away but it only caused her pain. More tears escaped her eyes as she whimpered in pain. He sure hoped nothing was wrong with the baby.
“Darling, I don't want to cause any trouble. I am just worried,” He admitted. He gazed at her, eyeing her down. She was a lovely looking thing, he was oddly worried though. She was homeless and pregnant? What about the father? Where is he in all this?
She looked up at him through teared and fearful eyes. Her body shaking and tense, which only caused her more pain. She had to admit she felt some warmth to his words. Her mama always called her darling and worried, but that was before she was murdered. She didn't want to believe his words, she couldn't put her baby in danger.
“Don’t l-lie,” Her quite voice sang out, breakingly. It made his heart clench. He truly wasn't lying. He stepped closer one step but stopped as she flinched and pushed herself closer to the wall. He sighed deeply and sat down, crossing his legs. He didn’t know what to do. He just knew he didn’t want to leave her here. He couldn’t.
“I’m not lying. I don’t have a reason too,” He started slowly, trying to sound comforting. She eyed this man in front of her for a moment before speaking again, though when she did, her voice cracked and she couldn’t speak through her sob of cries.
She buried her head in her arms and cried. She was fearful, terrified for her baby. She understood the babies father raped her, but it was still her child. She still cried, though she was whispering something he could barely make out.
“Help,” She cried. “P-please… my baby. I-Im scared,” She cried and tucked her knees to her chest and cradled her stomach now. He could feel his heart breaking. He knew he had to help. He would be a bastard if he didn’t.
He shook himself of his nerves and stood again only to move in front of her and crouch down, holding both hands out to her. “I promise, I’ll help. I need you to come with me though. Can you do that?” He asked gently, seeing her crised come to soft sniffles.
She lifted her head slightly to look at his hands and process his words. She nodded her head faintly, reaching out one shaky hand and placing his in one of his. She shakily and hesitantly moved closer to his warming body, standing up weakly as he did the same.
He grasped her hand lightly and walked slowly with her limping body next to him. She was limping badly and pain was clear in her eyes. “I-It hurts,” She whispered. His gaze fell back down to her then to how far his car was. He didn’t want her walking that far.
He sighed deeply, smiling softly, hoping to give her some reassurance. “May I pick you up? Your obviously injured and shouldn’t be walking,” He tried to reason. Her eyes widened and she looked up at him with a strained look in hers that were clearly tired. She nodded, nonetheless.
He slowly moved closer and slid a hand around her back and waist, picking her up while using his other arm to support her legs. He started to slowly shift her body to a more comfortable position as he carried her bridal style.
Small, slow tears fell down her cheeks as he picked her from pain. She could hear his soft whispers of sorry as he started walking wherever. She kept her hands on her stomach and shielded her eyes by closing them. She was so tired and hurt.
It wasn’t until she heard a click she opened her eyes and to find she was sitting in a car. Her eyes widened and she frantically looked around for a way out, but she felt a light squeeze on her hand. She whimpered and looked down at it and followed his arm up to his face and shivered by his intense, yet soft gaze.
“It’s alright, Darling. I'm going to get you help. I promise I won't hurt or harm you in anyway,’ He said with a gentle smile and closed her door carefully. He walked quickly over to his side and got in, turning the car on and driving away.
.
“You’ll be alright,”

Chapter 3
.
The nurses said it was a miracle her baby is still alive. She was in very bad condition, definitely not one to be carrying a baby. They checked up on her, giving her an IV to help give her body nutrition.
He was sitting in the room in a chair, watching her sleep. There was just something about the girl that caught his eye, homeless and pregnant, or not.
He watched how when she was dreaming about something bad, her eyebrows furrowed together. He watched how when he grabbed her hand, or softly rubbing her cheek with the back of his hand, she would calm.
A few hours later, and one phone call to his assistant that he won't be showing up to work, she started to stir awake. He sat upright and straight, looking at her as her beautiful hazel green eyes opened. She rubbed her eyes, making soft noises as she woke from her deep slumber.
“How did you sleep?” He asked, deciding to break the silence, gazing at her. She watched the IV in her arm in fear, not knowing what it was. He had a bad feeling she didn’t have good experiences with them before.
She looked at him finally, retreating her eyes quickly. “G-good,” She stuttered, quietly. She rubbed her hands together. “Thank you,” She said, truthfully. She knew if he didn’t take her to the hospital, she would have lost her child; she was also thankful he stayed, trusting him a little more.
He smiled faintly. “It was my pleasure,” He said softly before moving his chair a little closer to her bed. “What’s your name?” He asked, finally. She wouldn’t give it to the nurse.
She froze before she started to shake, her body tremble a little. “I c-can't tell you. They’ll come for me… They’ll come for my baby. Im sorry,” She rushed out, starting to get out of the bed.
He hurried and laid a hand on hers, pulling her back down into the bed slowly. “No one is coming to get you, Darling,” He said, hoping to soothe something. “I won't say anything. You can tell me your name… it’s safe with me,” He tried to ask again.
She slowly started to relax and lay in the bed again, her head propped up against a pillow. “Amora,” She said softly. She gazed at him for another moment, before looking away again, like she usually does.
He was speechless when he heard her name. It was… unique, beautiful. “You have a beautiful name, Amora,” He said with a small smile. “My name is, Jaxon,” He murmured softly.
.
She only smile at that.

Chapter Four
.
Jaxon took a few days off work. He wanted to care for this young, pregnant women. He wanted to make sure she was okay, especially her baby. Oddly enough, he cared for her; even though she hadn't said a thing ever since he brought her back to his place.
Yesterday, when the nurses said she was okay to go, he picked up her prescriptions and made her comfortable in his large home. It took a lot of convincing, but he did it. She was still quite frightened though; which upset him.
She slept for a while when they got home, and he made her dinner, making sure she was fed properly. After that, she went to sleep again. She needed it and her body was so weak. No women should have to go through this alone. He was there for her. It was currently noon when he started to get worried about her.
She hadn't come out of her room, and he didn't want to disturb her at all. But, his concern got to the best of him. He walked to her door, opening it gently, only to see her sitting on the edge of the bed, only in a bra, tracing what looked like to be scars on her belly. His heart ached.
She looked up at him wide eyed and yelped, covering herself with the blanket and hid under the duvet. His heart broke. He could hear her soft cries. He slowly walked in, closing the door behind him.
He sat down on the opposite side of the bed, seeing her flinched as he did so. He had feeling he knew what happened to her... he just wanted to confirm it.He sighed gently, reaching over and slowly pulling down the covers she was hiding her face in.
Her eyes were red with tears and her cheeks streaked. She whined and whimpered, covering her stomach with her hands.
"Amora, Sweetheart," He called softly, reaching over to grab her hand which she hesitantly let him do, shocked himself, he could finally hold her hand. He squeezed her hand gently, seeing more tears run down her cheeks. His heart felt like it was going to burst. He caressed her knuckles with the back of his thumb, gently.
"What's wrong?" He asked, trying to be as comforting as he could. He didn't want to be straight forward with her; he doesn't want to be blunt about his questions, but ease his way into them. He didn't mean harm.
She shook her head, protesting. She was afraid he would run out on her like the rest of the people did in her life. Though, those people weren't good ones to be around... The man, Jaxon, seemingly cared for her. She couldn't help but feel a little safer each day she spent with him.
Jaxon sighed gently, moving closer to her on the bed, which she seemed to not mind. In fact, enjoy his warmth he was providing her. "You can tell me, Amora... Your safe with me," He whispered, bringing her hand slowly to his lips, kissing her knuckles, leaving a lingering kiss.
She looked up at him, her tears slowly started to stop, but some still falling. Broken sounds escaped her lips, as she gazed at him. Her eyes pleading to take away the pain... emotionally. She felt warmth in his soft, gentle kiss. Something that never happened when she was forcefully kissed the last time.
"I-I..." She started, more tears falling, and rapidly. The memories torturing her. She gulped, shaking a little. "I-I... Was," She stopped herself a sob breaking through her small frail body. He knew what she was trying to say. He knew it.His heart leaped from his chest, not in a good way. He pulled her closer, hesitantly, making sure was alright with it.
But what she did next, had him shocked. He was completely speechless. His eyes widened.
She lunged at him, wrapping her arms around the man she only met a couple days ago. He was providing her comfort, no one had ever done before. She buried her sobbing face into his chest, crying her heart out. "P-please... don't hurt me... don't hurt me like they did," She cried and cried. He almost wanted to cry himself.
He snapped out of it, wrapping his arms back around her, cradling her in his arms like a baby as she cried. He sighed deeply at her words. "I will never, ever, hurt you, Amora. I am not that kind of man. You can trust me... I'll take care of you," He whispered, placing a kiss against her head, leaving his lips lingering there for a while before pulling them away.
She felt so much warmth at his words. They calmed her. She wrapped her arms around his waist, tightly, afraid to let go of the best thing that has happened to her so far. He was why she was getting the proper care she needed... the reason her baby is still alive.
She cried and cried for what seemed hours, but he never let her go. It wasn't long until she fell limp in his arms, her soft cries turning to sniffles as they soon stopped completely.
He kissed her forehead once more before gently laying her back down in bed, wrapping her in the thick blanket, letting her rest. She needed. He got up and walked to the door, turning the light off, glancing back at her with sad eyes.
.
She was just a girl who needed love.
.
He was willing to give it too her.

Chapter Five
.
It was soon morning again. Jaxon woke early, doing some work from home for a few hours before he got up and made breakfast. He set the table, hearing her door open as he made her plate.
She limped into the kitchen, smiling shyly. She was shy, still a little shaken up. She sat down, her legs a little shaky and looked down at the food, nervously. "Thank you, Jaxon," She murmured, her voice sounding like music to his ears when she said his name.
He smiled and nodded, sitting down across from her, eating his own food. He didn't look at her while he ate, knowing she would probably would get shy or embarrassed.
After a while, he finished eating, taking a glass of orange juice and setting it down in front of her. She murmured another 'thank you' and Jaxon just smiled, taking a drink out of his own cup.
He put their dishes away when they were done and he asked Amora to meet him in the living room when she could. She was a little nervous on why he wanted her to meet him in the living room, but she nodded. She sat there, drinking her delicious juice, before she got on her shaky legs and walked to the living room, sitting down next to him on the couch.
He grabbed her hand gently, kissing the back of her knuckles gently with a small smile as her own lips twitched into a ghost smile.
"Amora, you know I wont harm you or your child, right? I want to help you... I want to protect you, make you feel safe again," He murmured gently, his eyes soft as hers held tears. But, they were not pained tears... they were relieved tears. Almost happy tears.
She couldn't believe this man accepted a homeless pregnant girl into his own so welcoming. she knew she owed him her life... she knew she would give him a chance if anything ever went farther. She nodded to his words. Jaxon sighed, closing his eyes a moment before opening them.
"Good," He whispered to himself. He pulled her into an unexpected embrace, hugging her. He really did have feelings for this small girl. After a moment, he pulled away and kissed her head, softly.
"I'll care for you and your baby... I'll make sure your alright, no one will touch you again. I'll protect you, keep you safe. Make you feel the love you deserve," He said, his voice held truth to his words.
She felt a tear stride down her cheek. She was... happy. Happy to have someone who cared for her. Happy someone would take care of her, make sure she is safe. Love her, the way she longed for.
Jaxon lifted his hand up, wiping her stray tear away with the pad of his thumb, caressing her soft cheek with his thumb. He brushed a piece of the young girls black hair behind her ear, sighing softly.
Was it possible to fall in love with someone you met just a few days ago? Someone who has the completely different lifestyle than him?
.
Yes.
.
Because, he did.
.
He was in love. And he fell hard.

Chapter Six
.
It had been a few weeks since Amora started to stay with Jaxon. He hadn’t admitted his love to her yet. He didn’t want to frightened her, or worry her in anyway. He didn’t want to feel the rejection either, because of her past.
He took care of her everyday, he started to work from home now. Though, being the boss, he went to his business and worked there for a few hours, making sure everything was alright.
It was currently the afternoon and Jaxon was knocking on Amora’s door. He wanted to take her out, seeing as she hadn’t wanted to leave the house. After a moment, she opened the door a little shyly and smiled, faintly.
“Hi,” She whispered, her melodic voice rang in his ears. It instantly brought a smile to his face. She opened the door more, gesturing for him to come inside. She sat down on the edge of the bed, shyly looking at him. Her head was tilted, her eyes shone lightly as her hair was in a dutch braid down the middle of her head while her short sundress stopped about mid thigh when she sat down, definitely showing her baby bump.
“Good evening, Love,” He murmured softly as he walked inside her room. Over the past few days, Jaxon had started to call her Love. He was amazed by her over all beauty. Who would do such a thing to a woman? He let the thought go before he angered himself.
“Would you like to go out today? I was thinking we could go for some dinner.” He asked, his gaze intense, but soft at the same time. He did see the hesitance in her eyes. He groaned and shook his head, walking up to her.
He tilted her chin up softly before speaking. “Amora, you have been in this house for weeks. I am taking you out, and you’ll be fine,” He said, his voice stern and gentle all at once. He heard a soft whine come from her. She sighed deeply before speaking herself.
“But, Jaxon-...” She paused, trying to think of an excuse. “I-..” She tried again but stopped and huffed adorably in defeat. She groaned, laying her head against his stomach, seeing as that’s the only place she could reach being seated while he stood.
He chuckled, stroking her head softly as he kissed it. “Good, now, be ready soon. It’s already almost time for dinner, and I made a reservation,” He murmured and kissed her cheek before walking out.
She giggled. Her hormones were all over the place. She was about 5 months pregnant now but she wasn’t ‘big’. The last check up she had the doctor predicted the baby would be small, but still healthy as long as she stayed healthy herself.

After a little while, Amora decided on a nice, yet simple, short dress that fitted her nicely, her baby bump showing. She kept her hair into a dutch braid. She walked to her door, opening it and just saw Jaxon walking out looking, well, to put it simply, stunning.
She felt a little heat rush to her cheeks and she quickly retracted her eyes, clasping her hands in front of herself. She smiled lightly and heard his soft footsteps coming forward, but stopping. She could see his shoes as her gaze was on the floor.
He lifted his hand and gently pushed her chin upwards so she looked at him. “You look beautiful,” He murmured before removing his hand from her chin and clasped one of her hands in his.
.
They both headed out the door, a smirk on Jaxon’s face, a small blush and smile on Amora’s.

(This is a short chapter, but it's an interesting scene. It may also be a little confusing, but it will all be explained in next chapter!)
.
Chapter Seven
.
“I love you,”
Amora’s eyes went wide as she nearly dropped her fork. She looked up and to her disappointment, Jaxon wasn’t in front of her. A different man was, who was kneeling on one knee, facing a beautiful blonde who had glossy eyes.
Jaxon had gone to the bathroom, much to Amora’s disappointment, and left her there at the table sitting alone with a hand against her swollen belly. She stared at the man, tears nearly filling her own eyes.
She wanted that… She wanted to have someone love her, someone she could wake up next to every morning and kiss goodnight. But, she also knew that wouldn’t happen, at least in her mind.
The man started to confess his feelings towards the blonde, tears running down her cheeks as he kept speaking.
That’s when Amora nearly shrieked and she started to hyperventilate. Her eyes stung with tears. She started to stand when a hand wrapped around her waist and she was pulled into a muscular chest.
Jaxon.
“It’s alright. It’s okay,” He whispered in her ear and kissed her head gently. “He won't hurt you again. I promise you that. He’s going to be put away for a long time, love.” He whispered and kept her close to himself, his arms wrapped around her waist as she sobbed into his chest.
She looked out from his chest just enough to see handcuffs being put on her baby's father wrists. The disgusting man sent a glare towards Amora. She started to cry even harder when he looked at her stomach with angered eyes and a murderous look.
Jaxon noticed it so he brought her head to his chest as he cooed soft, soothing things in her ear. He rested his chin against the top of her head as she kept crying in crying. Finally, even though she was still crying
quietly, he pulled away he bent down to her level.
“Amora, it’s okay. I said he wouldn’t hurt you again, didn’t I?” He asked, and continued when he saw the faint nod from her head. “You wont ever see him again. He wont come near you or your baby.” He whispered and kissed her head gently as she leaned against his chest again and started to calm down into quiet sniffles.
Without hesitation, Jaxon brought her back home after grabbing some fast food that she was crazing.

Chapter Eight
.
Once they reached back home, with Amora munching on her small fry, Jaxon got out of his car and opened her door, grabbing the food from her hands and putting it back in the bag. Amora whined and groaned, reaching for the food again but Jaxon kept it out of her reach.
“Jaxon,” She whined and tried to fight him for the food that he kept away from her. “Give me my food back. You ruined dinner,” She said and started to tear up. Her hormones were all over the place.
Jaxon eyes widened and he immediately gave her the food back when he saw her tears. He didn’t want her too cry anymore, it hurt him also seeing her like that. He wrapped his arms around her, trying to comfort her, but she pushed him away and started to stomp towards the home.
“Don’t touch me. Don’t talk to me. Don’t even look at me.” She snapped and opened the door, going straight to her room.
Jaxon stood there frozen. “What the hell?” He muttered under his breath before shutting her door and locking his car. He made his way up to the house and opened the door, locking it behind him as he removed his shoes.
He started to walk towards towards her room after throwing his keys on the counter. He stopped in front of the average, white door and hesitantly knocked and the door was immediately opened with arms wrapped around his waist tightly.
Jaxon bit back a chuckle. “You alright?” He asked and planted a gently kiss against her head and wrapped his arms around the small of her back, rubbing it gently when he heard her quiet whimper.
Amora nodded, but then shook her head right after. “No,” She said and huffed pulling away and grabbing his hand, pushing him into her room and closed the door. Jaxon was confused as he watched Amora walk away into the closet, but she came back out in just a pair of sweatpants and one of his shirts she somehow got.
Jaxon bit back a huge grin that threatened to make way to his face. “Amora, Love, what’s wrong? You just told me not to tou-...” His words died out when she walked up to him, wrapping her arms around his neck and planted a big kiss against his cheek before nuzzling her face in his chest.
Amora’s cheek turned to a light pink blush, as she buried her face into the crook of his neck. “I know what I said.” She whispered. “But my hormones are all over the place.” She whispered and hesitantly stepped closer to him and basically burying her body into his, moving her arms to wrap tightly around his waist.
Jaxon grinned softly and chuckled, though it didn’t last long. He sighed gently and wrapped his arms back around her frail and petite frame. “Amora…” He whispered, his voice held a huskily tone. She shivered at his breath fanning her neck; she couldn’t look up at him with this major blush against her cheeks.
“Amora,” He called again, tightening his hold against her.
She hesitantly looked up and saw his eyes already trained down on her. His stare was intense; she gulped. Her eyes widened when she saw him leaning down. His lips grazed her cheek, awfully close to her lips.
Amora felt a deep blush coat her cheeks; yet a small smile twitched on her lips. This was the closet physical activity she’d been in since what had happened to her. She pushed the thought aside, knowing he was locked up again. That’s when her eyebrows furrowed.
“How did he know where I was? H-How… How was he locked up? How did the police know?” She asked and took a step back away from him, and went to the closet, grabbing something to change in as she put space between them.
Jaxon sighed. His heart panged when she stepped away from him, but he didn’t, and wouldn't pressure her into anything. Even a singular kiss that she seemed oblivious about. He sat down on her bed and rubbed his eyes, raking a hand through his hair.
“I… I- uh… I did research. And I made a bargain with him, and I got him to meet me at the restaurant. I wish I didn’t have to do that too you, Amora, but the police wanted to make sure that was the correct guy. So they said too unexpectedly, send him inside. And they got what they wanted. I got him locked up for you,” He explained, even if it sounded confusing.
Amora’s heart melted. “Y-you would do that… for me?” She whispered as she came out of the closet in just a baggy, long shirt because it was hot and very comfortable. She got into bed on the other side, leaning her head against his shoulder.
Jaxon was quite. He couldn’t keep it in anymore. He had to tell her, even if it met she didn’t feel the same way. But, if she felt even half of what he did towards her, he would be so happy.
“I Love You,” He said.
Amora froze. Her heart beat faster and her hands started to shake. She stiffened. She repeated his words in her head over and over again in her head. Tears filled her eyes. She was… was-... Amora was broken out of her train of thought by Jaxon again after a long moment of silence.
“Amora,” He whispered. “It’s okay if you don’t feel the same wa-...” His words were stopped when a pair of soft lips met his. He was frozen in shock. Amora had cut him off talking by kissing him, and it was working. Though, she pulled away all to soon for Jaxon’s liking.
“J-Jaxon,” Amora stuttered, quite shocked at what she just did herself. “I… I do like you… a lot, but… I’m not sure exactly what I feel.” She whispered, her gaze falling in shame. She knew she liked him a whole lot, and it may be love, but she wasn’t ready to commit. She wanted to be sure of her feelings.
Jaxon lifted her chin with a wide, toothy grin. He shook his head. “That’s okay, Love.” He whispered. “I’m just glad I’m not the only one with feelings,” He whispered and kissed the top of her head. He was about to get up and leave, but Amora grabbed his wrist.
Her face flushed slightly. “C-can you stay with me?” She asked, almost a pleading tone. Jaxon brightened up even more. He nodded, but he went to change first. It wasn’t a long wait though and Amora was already under the blankets.
Jaxon came back in a pair of sweatpants and a solid shirt. He slid under the covers and laid down next to her. He smiled softly. He kissed her head softly before speaking.

Chapter Nine
.
4 months later... and about 9 months prego ;)
.
.
She was due soon. And really soon.
.
Amora's due date was May 23. It was currently May 15.
.
Not to mention she was freaking herself out. Worrying, stressing, practicing her breathing exercises as much as she can as she cries herself to sleep in the middle of the day afraid of anything and everything that's to come.
It was the early evening when Amora was laying in bed cuddled into the blankets. Jaxon was working in the office he arranged so he could work from home.
Not to mention, he built a baby room without her knowing, somehow. Without even knowing if she was staying for that fact with him after the baby is born. She already had her answer though. She'd just have to break the news to Jaxon.
"Jaxon!" Amora called after a moment, her voice very, very cheery. She seemed like she was in an oddly good mood after crying her heart out hours before.
Jaxon walked into her room moments later with a soft smile and slowly walked to the side of her bed. "Yes, Amora? Everything alright?" He questioned and hesitantly sat down when she patted the empty spot next to her.
She grinned... way to happily. But really after she spoke what she wanted to tell him, it was his turn to chuckled and grin a very toothy grin.
"I loooove you." She sang out and scooted closer to him, resting her chin against his should as she gazed up at him. It was her first time actually saying it aloud.
They both knew she loved him. Neither of them said anything about her admitting it though. Jaxon was a patient man, and luckily Amora knew that and didn't feel rushed.
Jaxon kissed her soft lips lovingly. "I love you, too." He whispered against her lips before Amora's eyes widened and she yelped in pain, feeling liquid run down her legs.
She clutched her stomach and cried out. "J-axon!" She stumbled out. "Water broke," She said as she gasped in another wave of pain hit.
Jaxon instantly shoots up from the bed and grabs the bag he had packed a few days ago. He rushes to the car with Amora and drove to the hospital immediately.
Maybe speeding a little.
