@Celeste what do you do for a job in childcare? I worked at an elementary school for a little bit, but started having autistic meltdowns from the screaming kids.
There are plenty! You can get certificates in so much stuff that only requires a minimal amount of higher ed. My school is hiring right now- no certification needed for the ParaProfessional position.
For real Sav, that's awesome though! I am fortunate enough to not have student loans, despite the expensive out of state tuition. My grandparents have college funds for all of us grandkids <3
Oh fuck Sun, thats horrid. I had that issue coming in, 60 credits almost dropped since it was a community to four years. Luckily it all transferred, now I am double majoring and double minoring in four years :`)
Society is encouraging a lot of awful things right now, just scared we will have what's his face for another 4 years and 8 years in a row for him In office means I won't be able to afford college or anything else
I graduated high school with my associates degree. Has not helped me land a job. I still work minimum wage. I also help out in a lab with research rats, but that is just for brownie points with my major :P
Honestly? College is not for everyone. I went for a year and a half. Social Work major Criminal Justice minor. Had big dreams but unfortunately my rampant mental health issues and sensory issues took over. I was unable to do anything without having a meltdown. So, I dropped out and began my career in childcare in 2019. I have not looked back. And I own a home and two cars, fully paid off too. And am able to pay my bills + do horses
