I had all intentions of making a tutorial type thing (like I did for the horse) for the background but I honestly just got in a groove and forgot about it. but i did finish the background and it has been a while since I have done a full background and I am pretty happy with how its turned out (i made two versions of the same background with very slight differences and can't decide which one I like better but yea, here they are). I highly recommend clicking so you can see details :) Edit: meant to add that this background took around 3.5 hours to do. Depending on the background (for example the backgrounds on my dragon pieces), some of them can take up to 8 hours just because I am a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to certain things and some backgrounds are way more complex than others.  |

------------------------------------------------------------------------ Welcome! I am Nyx and I am the artist behind the dragon art you may have seen floating around! I am also starting up a big cat hybrid art project which will be revealed sometime in the upcoming months. Some things to keep in mind: - I DO offer images that are free to use as backgrounds for laptops/tablets/phones. I will specify if it is free to use or not. -Images sold as sets, customs or trades are NOT free to use or useable by anyone other than the owner of said art unless said otherwise. - If you have a question about any of these pieces, direct them to me via PM. I can and will answer them as soon as I can. - I am a college student that will be transferring to Uni next academic year. This keeps me very busy and therefore art shop openings are rare unless I have a break or free time. I also work for the college in more areas than just one. - I open up art slots in my own time. Please respect this as I do take pride in my work. It can take a month or longer to complete a piece depending on complexity. It will get finished, I promise, and during breaks your piece may be finished in a shorter amount of time. - Be patient, but you can always ask for updates. I offer them very often and will begin posting WIPs here if the BUYER allows it. I will not post WIPs unless the one purchasing the custom says it is okay just in case they would like to keep it a sort of secret/suprise type thing. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ |

Part of an art trade with Lost. I realize that there are tiny details (such as scales) that DA washes out so you can not see them. If anyone has a good uploading site/knows of one, please let me know because I am not liking the quality DA offers at the moment. |

Ok so I literally couldn't wait to show you all what I am working on so here is a (very early) WIP of the 'star' of my big cat hybrids project Edit: I figured I should explain what is going on here lol. This is just a headshot of a panther x peacock big cat. I have been sketching her for a while and finally feel okay with bringing her to 'life' You will probably see a lot more of her on here. Typically, more grey colored peacocks are female and this coloration is more common in male peacocks but I think this is a more feminine feline and therefore she is a female. I don't have a name for her yet but you are more than welcome to throw some names out there ;) |

another WIP of this lovely lady! I am moving it to a bigger canvas so that the quality is way better but figured that for the initial part of this painting I would see how it would look as the relative size for a stable avatar (for myself). So now I can move it to a larger canvas to begin really working in the details and individual furs (it will be easier on a larger canvas). Would you all be interested in art tutorials in the future?  |
