There was an online game a while back and a little girl almost got kidnapped because she gave away her info. And there are people who have been kidnapped because of that. I feel kids should be better educated about it and supervised

I guess the issue is that you can talk to ANYONE on social media. So if you say something like "hey, I'm nine" you're gonna get gross people with ill intent and if you ARE nine, you won't know better than to block and ignore. I don't know why kids are allowed phones at such a young age. You can be smart enough to get through parental controls and naive enough to need them at the same time
