Appearance: Ace is a skinny person with nothing but lean muscle on his bony frame, he has light blonde hair and warm brown eyes as well as pale skin that is essentially covered in freckles, his clothes of choice are usually sweaters and jeans with baggy shirts underneath, mostly to hide the fact that his arms and torso are a little scarred from all the experiments done on him, his facial features are sharp and precise giving him a colder look which he isnt a fan of, coming off as intimidating is the last thing he wants, but not much to change about that

Personality: he is a pretty shy person but tries to be polite and friendly, once he gets to know you though he opens up a lot and has a good appreciation for humor, however even if you are exceptionally close he can get reclusive and hide away from anything he finds upsetting such as loud noises or overwhelming colors, so fireworks scare him, while things like that bother Ace soft music or singing has the opposite effect,it calms him down and lifts up his mood, white noise too so rushing water or windy weather make him happy

Damn. He felt like he was going to be sick, as the ball in his stomach churned with a less than pleasurable pain. The haunting feeling like he would wake someone up was almost fearful. Debating himself between which clothes he should and shouldn’t pack was tearing him apart from the inside. Truthfully Dmitri hadn’t been outside in ages so he wasn’t fully aware of how warm or cold the weather was. The ‘Doctor’ wore just about the same thing everyday, so that wouldn’t give up anything on what clothing he should pack. On top of everything else he didn’t know which of his siblings he should take with him yet. Although he held hope of coming back and bringing them all with him eventually, it would be a lie that the thoughts occupying the back of his mind weren’t the complete opposite of the hopeful once he was keeping focused on. The frantic fidgeting throughout his entire body was just a plan for disaster. From shoving clothing inside the small bag then dragging them back out again, his mind was overly busy to even watch where he was walking. As something grasped his foot, his arms immediately pushed forwards to catch himself on the bed frame. The metal screeched against the floor which made him want to just fall off the face of the earth at that very moment only added to the growing ball inside his stomach, Dmirti’s orbs spun around the darkened room in an angst. It wasn’t much, but by the silent response he received he got some sense of relief. He knew he had at least woken one person up, judging by the shaky figure that had just propped itself upward. Creeping forwards away from the bed-frame, he peered into only the dull outline of the person. Silently his mind jolted between the scents of all the different people in the room, only to land upon the conclusion of the strongest smell which he recognized as Aciel.

``Hey..-`` he whispered towards the figure in a voice that was strung with hesitation, ``sorry to wake you.``

By the time he reached the head of the bed, it seemed like the figure was already falling back asleep. The drowsy sight of Aciel gave him somewhat of an uplifting feeling. However the feeling didn’t last long, as the shadowing thought of the night ahead of him quickly clouded his mind. Stepping backwards hesitantly, his teeth gritted with an angstful tinge. He didn’t know for certain but he had a feeling Aciel wasn’t going to fall back asleep.

Dmitri had the bag filled to the brim of different essentials. Even still lifting the bag wasn’t hard whatsoever, being as the bag was quite light. The clothing he picked where plain as where the rest of the clothes he "owned", this was just how things were so the appearance of the cloth itself wouldn’t have mattered. Only the height and size was what concerned him, as he wasn’t just packing for himself anymore. The supplies he had was only enough for one to two people at most, so making the decision between siblings was now what occupied his mind. Dmitri did not favor one over the other, but he felt as if he had known from the start which one he would need to awaken… or about as much awakening as Aciel would need. Watching in the bitter silence at the bed across from him, the shifting under the sheets was barely noticeable but still he was able to identify the sounds. It felt as if it could hear miles away, as the sound of chirping bugs from the outside occasionally rang through his ears. More than normal he felt like his senses where or steroids, though his heightened emotions could have easily been the cause. Dmitri was much more cautious of where he was stepping this time around, approaching the bed but went to whisper something his throat felt to dry to even make out a sound. Peering around in the darkness, the dull outlines of the other beds in the room were just visible. It seemed to be only himself and Aciel who were awake, and as he had gotten closer Dmitri could clearly he could hear the tampered breath of him. At least now he was fully confident that Aciel was awake, although the next problem was figuring out how to introduce the situation to him.

he waited patiently for the answer, every nerve in his body on edge, he twitched slightly and loosened his hold realizing he may be hurting his friend, as his hand slacked he let out a sigh and glanced back at all the other people in this room, saying a silent goodbye knowing that Dmitri would try even if he was likely to loose his life, and he couldn't let him go on his own, he cursed himself slightly for that but said nothing out loud

His eyes were twitching around the room at an unreasonable speed, leaving only follow the smell of Aciel to guide him. The air felt oddly thick as he stood there, and his mind paced with the bountiful responses he could say. Dmitri instantly jolted at the piercing sound of Aciel's words, he had temporarily diverted his focus into his thoughts instead of actually saying anything. His roommate wasn’t exactly happy sounding either, although at that moment there was just about nothing he could do to compensate for bothering him. Dmitri knew for a fact that Aciel had a much better sense of sight than him which made taking him along a valuable asset. As good as he could smell his way around like a dog, a pair of eyes would be a lot easier to navigate around with. The moonlight swept over his skin, it’s clear essence brought him a temporary sense of relaxation. Just slightly Dmitri felt as if his entire being was dulled down by the stress he was experiencing, and the more his body swung between intense emotions the more nauseous he’d become. It seemed like Aciel was starting to understand what was actually going on, and with time against them there wasn’t a second to loos. A plan? Dmitri had been thinking up his escape for about a year in counting, and even if it wasn’t bomb proof it was about as good as one escape plan could become. He watched as Aciel’s torso moved sideways, he himself stepped back to welcome him into standing. His weight fell backwards upon his heel, spinning around Dmitri started over to his own bed where he’d left the bag. Dmitri could clearly make out the faint steps of Aciel following behind him, and with his mind at last made up on how he should phrase the situation his voice shot out in a whisper. From there he explained exactly what was happening and what they would be doing, although he excluded some details which would greatly deter Aciel’s decision to follow him. During this time Dmitri was checking over the contents of the back for what felt like the millionth time, but at last when his words halted and the bag was zipped close it was time to put his plan into action.

The plan wasn’t cut and dry, despite how he managed to make it sound while explaining it to Aciel. Dmitri seemed to have changed into a more defensive mindset, so when he felt the cold fingers grasp around his arm he was dead in between trying to hit whoever it was or just blatantly streaming. Gulping down the temptations of both, his eyes jolted around in a gaze that was somehow expecting something more than what it received. It was cold darkness in which his eyes had met, with only the strong familiar scent of Aciel told him the ‘who’.

``What?`` Dmitri hissed in a less than pleasant tone, he was far much too nervous at that moment to respond in any manner but a harsh one.

He felt like almost sighing at the reason Aciel had stopped him, it seemed only human to be second guessing as he himself had pondered upon hopeless thoughts many a night. As Aciel spoke it sounded more of threats then a point of persuasion. Although Dmitri did have doubts in his plan, a large portion of his doubts revolved around there not even being a door to the outside where he had assumed there was one. Either way, the night was full and he was already in quite deep to back out. Leering directly forward to Aciel, he couldn’t see it but he could clearly feel their eyes locked upon each other.

``There is no way in hell you are going to stop me`` he dared in a whisper of a voice.

Once more his eyes jolted around the room he was standing just in front of the door, and he had a feeling once it was finally opened there would be no return. The wispy sound of Aciel releasing his breath alongside his lessened grip upon his arm told Dmitri just about all he needed to know. His orbs followed Aciel’s head back towards the room, as too he silently wished his farewells upon the people inside. Now it was finally the time for fate to take its course. As his fingers grasped around the doorknob in a shifty heave, they would need to hurry.

Dmitri stood with the door just barely open for a few seconds, enough to allow his palette to clear itself so he could smell clearly. He didn’t have eyes with the building being so dark, so he would just have to rely upon his other senses to guide him. Stepping forward he could hear Aciel step as well, carefully weaving past the door he stood now only just outside the room. The building did have alarms, although only until they reached the main room would the alarms finally sound. There was however a few second delay between alarms, and betting upon this was one of many gables he needed so his plan would succeed. Starting down the hallway his mind was torn between the sounds of Aciel trailing behind him, and the strong sickening scents coming from the rooms he passed by. Dmitri had almost the entire building’s layout memorized like the back of his hand, although the few parts he didn’t know of where the few parts he was betting on knowing. At last his eyes were greeted with something other than darkness, as the room directly ahead of them was showered in moonlight. Halting he felt as if his heart would jump straight out of his chest. It was the main room, and the room which upon entering would activated the alarms. From the room two other hallways connected, the one they would have to take was the only one he had not a clue where it led. Glancing back down the dark hall at Aciel who was surprisingly directly behind him, his mind coursed with options on how to start. The alarms were one of the few parts he had left out of his explanation to Aciel, so it may be a surprise for him. Pondering upon his options only briefly, his body turned partially so to allow his hand to move. Grasping his hand around Aciel's wrist, Dmitri leered with an unfocused gaze into what he assumed to be his eyes. Opening his mouth he could feel how shaky his breath and really become,

``We have to- run now… okay?`` he shot, still he kept his voice down but now he no longer whispered.

"you want me to run!? with those alarms?" he hissed, his enhanced eyes picking out the red beams easily as he dragged his gaze over the large main room, his voice was a little whiny and his shuffling feet were a dead give away to how nervous he really was, after a minute or so of forcing his breathing to even out he just nodded "fine..." Aciel was hesitant but moved his hand to grasp Dmitri's "on your count we go....just say the word because I can't"

as soon as the other finished speaking he bolted, pulling Dmitri along with him, ignoring the blaring sirens that made his head pound,trying his best to avoid most of the red lasers that scattered across the floor, walls and roof, once he had bolted across the large room he didnt stop though, he kept going, darting through the monotone grey halls, not even slowing down as they got closer to the doors, he did however match Dmitri's pace so he could be lead out the entrance and into the cold night air, from there though he sped up again and dove into the bushes, hoping the amount of trees would conceal them enough so that guards or authorities wouldn't be able to catch them, Aciel still didnt falter, well he did stumble and his adrenaline was kicking up his senses so much that every leaf, every little movement and ever sliver of moonlight stood out, and sure it gave him a headache but there was no helping that at this very moment, he only screeched to a halt when the terrain switched from soil to sand and more bushes then trees, he finally turned to Dmitri panting "how are you holding up?" he asked doubling over and leaning his hands on his knees "do you think we're far enough away? I mean they wont catch us right?"

once they had regrouped he straightened up and stretched out a little "right...so where are we going to stay for the night? should we try find a town nearby or just set up camp here until morning? if we do that we risked getting caught, I hope you brought money because then we could rent a small place at an inn or something if we do manage to find some kind of settlement" Aciel suggested offering to take the bag from Dmitri by holding out his arms, turning once he had it to see if anything was close to this vantage point "hey there are some lights a little while away from here! should we try to get there? it has to be better than out here where we could get caught..." incase it wasn't obvious Ace was still worried about escaping even though the plan had worked so far, this whole ordeal was nerve racking and the more his mind dwelled on it the worse his doubts got and the more he had to think about it and so the cycle continued until his adrenaline started up again "hey, Dmitri? Im kinda scared" he admitted quietly, he hadnt been outisde in years and all of it was new to him

Count? Dmitri stared into the pitch black of the hallway, only going off of the scents that Aciel had been giving off. Hesitantly he nodded in agreement, taking in a last breath of air which smelt more of rotten flesh than anything else, he started counting down. Three...two...one. It felt like his arm was just about to be pulled off as Aciel jolted right past him, with under a second of hesitation Dmitri pushed forward as well. With ease he was able to catch up to the same speed Aciel was going, although his anticipation wasn’t over. As they crossed the door frame he felt like he would throw up, but as the blaring sound from halfway across the building started the feeling he felt was a better one. The delay between alarms wasn’t a large one, but it should give them just enough time to make it across the room and ahead of the guards on duty. Pushing forward he picked the pace up so he was the one leading. Weaving down the hallway his eyes were once more greeted by pitch darkness. Occasionally he would get a glimpse of moonlight from inside a room, but other than that he was following the overpowering smell of something he didn’t yet recognize. Just as they rounded a corner the door frame ahead of them was showered in light. Pushing it open the door, the smell filled his nostrils in an overpowering rage, his breath was quick and he didn’t yet find the smell pleasant. Dmitri would rather have held his breath, but as he ran the smell of adrenaline rushed Aciel occasionally covered it up. It felt like they both had been running for ages, but still he had no plans of stopping. He felt as if he wasn’t even running most of that time, as his own adrenaline had kicked in. Feeling a subtle tug at his hand he gazed around at Aciel who seemed to be slowing down. He himself slowed down until they both came to a halt, gazing around Dmitri was in utter awe at the landscape he was staring into. More than the other kids he couldn’t remember ever going outside, although it was an incredible sight the obnoxious smells and noises from the thicket weren't pleasant once. Dmitri still failed to see well, but now he could at least make out some of Aciel’s facial features. Extending his hand out he placed his hand onto a tree, pushing against it he used the stalk as almost a way to keep himself standing. Physical fitness wasn’t something the lab encouraged, so it had been awhile since he had run that fast. Gasping for each breath he got only more nauseous by the second, and as he pressed his other hand to his mouth he was starting to look at it too. More than anything else at that moment, the pungent smell was encouraging the sickening ball churning inside his stomach. Peering around the tree’s stalk he watched at Aciel’s mouth moved in a way that produced sound.

``I’m all good`` he managed to get out, although to say this felt more like a lie than anything else.

In that moment however he needed to put on a brave face and ignore the instinct to just fall over, it was him who pushed them escaping after all. Dmitri couldn’t manage any words out, so he just shook his head ‘no’ to Aciel’s question. Truthfully he doubted they could ever be far enough away, but for the time being he wanted to make it into the town before daybreak. He had managed to get some of what was considered “money”, though without a decent understanding on how much a room would cost he had no idea if it would be enough. The material under his feet caused him to constantly have to shift his weight from one side to the other.

In a shaky sigh, Dmitri turned his body around so that his back was resting against the tree. It seemed like he was finally starting to calm down, and luckily he was starting to get used to the foul stench. Having caught his breath at last he was able to actually speak now to Aciel instead of making head motions.

``We should continue going, there should be a town a kilometers or two away from the lab`` he huffed, but still he peering around the natural landscape in amazement.

Dmitri didn’t want to run anymore and quite literally doubted his body would allow it. They would have to be walking for a short while, but the faint scent of salt set his hopes high. Dmitri was happy to let the bag go, as it had thrown off his center of balance greatly by just holding it. At last he lifted his back from the tree, and subtly he stretched out each of his limbs. Peering around he watched as Aciel had started speaking, which made a brief look of astonishment drive across his face. He hadn’t remembered Aciel to be so truthful with him before, although granted their current situation it made sense.

``Yeah… but we can just stop here right?`` he perked forcing out an excitable voice.

Dmitri motioned forwards to Aciel, they both needed to get a move on it if they were to make it into the town by daybreak. The moon was now only just hovering above the clouds, and judging by his own personal state Dmitri doubted he would be going fast.

Aciel looked over at Dmitri and sighed, going silent as he listened, he didnt look okay but he took the other's word for it and just kept staring out at the town, it was....interesting to say the least, from this far away it looked like little glowing dots and that was all but he knew that couldn't be it, he had never seen a real town but he imagined there would be streets and cars and building from what he had in his memory, although this palce didnt look nearly as big as where he had stayed before and the lights didnt go so high up so in his mind he built a little picture of several streets, houses, stores and other little buildings, well he liked that more than the cold interior of the lab he and Dmitri had just escaped from, he glanced back just to check on his fellow run away and frowned for a second when he shook his head, he had hoped that they could stop for the night just to rest, even for an hour but that was apparently not an option at the moment, so to the small town it was, he turned his body so it was facing their destination and tilted his head "right then....it cant be that far" he muttered to himself but stood still letting himself rest and Dmitri catch his breath, and then he heard the other's voice, it shocked him a little and made him jump around but he nodded "yeah I can see it, it isnt too far and it doesnt look too big, there should be a place to stay there" he offered a small crooked smile, he was genuinly happy to no longer be cooped up inside little rooms filled with needles and bottles and doctors in white lab coats, he would see real faces, real smiles, interact with other people that he could trust, it made Ace very happy to think about his new life, it made him sway around a little even if it could potentially take years and years to get a normal existence is was so worth it, his smile was now a full on grin and he let out a muted laugh as he tilted his head up to look at a sky for once, not some artificial roof, he didnt say much more though, he just let himself be happy in his own head not feeling the need to tell Dmitri how great the plan was just yet, first they had to get a move on into some real safety, again Dmitri's voice interupted his thoughts and made him jump, he swiveled around and nodded

"oh yeah of course, we should get there as soon as possible, the further away we get the better" he smiled shifting the bag on his shoulders getting ready to walk again, glancing at the lights and lining up with what he could see, making a mental note on the direction before setting off, expecting Dmitri to follow along as he trudged ahead, kicking up sand and fallen leaves in the process of going downhill and managing to again get them amongst trees and bushes, only the leaves were more rubbery now so he guessed they were nearing a coastal area

a few minutes later the sound of crashing waves confirmed that, he could smell the salt at this point too so it was a sign they were getting close to a beach, and that guess was right too, several more minutes later he had to pull off his shoes because the two of them were now on a long stretch of sand with dark water washing dangerously close to them, it made Aciel a tad bit uneasy but at least the lights were more visible now, plus the moon was now perfectly illuminating their path so he relaxed a bit knowing Dmitri wouldn't have trouble seeing here, that meant they could pick up the pace to just above a regular walk "we're almost there!" he said holding himself back from full out running, mostly because just walking in this sand made him tired, his feet kept sinking in and since Aciel had never actually been on a beach he ended up being clumsier than usual, which was saying quite a lot because Ace had the balance of a baby on stilts on a good day so he was stumbling all over the place, it was embarrassing but he was too exited to care, the lights from the settlement were getting closer and closer, he couldn't wait to get there

turns out he only had to wait another ten or so minutes because in that amount of time they arrived, looking around he smiled, it was quiet but the lights in shops were still on and you could hear the faint murmur of people speaking, he proceded to drag Dmitri to the closest place he found that had the words HOTEL written on it and pushed through the doors into a large lobby with three different desks, he made his way to the first one and smiled and the person working there "hello" he greeted "we're looking for a room, just for the night, two beds, nothing fancy just a place to sleep" he said and the person nodded clicking away on their computer before pulling something up "okay, sir, we have room C3 or C4 both have two beds and will cost *instert number here* for the night" the explained, he turned to Dmitri with a questioning expression as if to ask if it was a possibility to stay here
