Green, not really this year, but I got enough to replace my retired girls and some I culled. I'm just waiting for RP now to cull again :) I have no ebs and no room really to breed anymore. I'm thinking of downsizing my stock again

Kinda sucks living in a state where you know no one but itÂ’s also nice. I tend to scare people off with my tics. Apparently they are offensive XD

Name: Adrienne “Ari” Moore
Age: 27
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Heterosexual

Appearance:

Adrienne has the kind of appearance that tends to draw eyes, though she wishes she didn’t. She’s about average height (5’ 10”), has a light build with some muscle from lifting heavy objects, and is fairly confident in her stature. Her skin is a light tan with freckles dotted across her face and shoulders. She has some small scars, particularly on her hands from various accidents. She has fairly long copper hair that cascades down her back in slight waves. Her eyes are hazel, though they often appear to have a green tint to them.

Personality:

Adrienne is a light-hearted and usually optimistic individual. She can usually navigate a conversation well and can be charming when she wants. She uses sarcasm as a way to show displeasure, and tends to try and lighten serious topics through humor. Once aggravated she has a harsh temper, usually spurred on by someone threatening those she cares for. Otherwise she is fairly tolerable of most irritations and won’t let it show when she is bothered.

Strengths:

Lying
Can handle a gun (not necessarily her strongest skill, but she’s good enough to usually not miss)
Strong enough to hit well
Fairly good at convincing people to do what she tells them
Can read people fairly easily

Weaknesses: (bit of a wip)

Temper; once angry, it's really hard to calm her down and it tends to be a problem, considering she becomes quite reckless
Can be clumsy, and thus definitely not the type to drag out into the wilderness

Fears:
She absolutely hates big storms, particularly really big booms of thunder. Its a bit of a problem where she lives, as the storms are rarely ever small, especially not during the summer.

Note:
-She runs a shop in town, essentially a simple general store
-She has a child, Clint, who is about a year old. He's a result of a relationship that didn't quite work out.
-She has a friend in town, Lydia, who is usually the one who looks after the baby when she is running the shop or simply too busy.

(more to be added and elaborated as I develop about her character and the story progresses)

(hopefully this is a working starting post)

Like most days, the town was busy and the shop was not. A few customers shuffled about while the owner reclined in a chair, watching them with careful eyes. She was an intriguing individual - a frequent source of rumors for the town. It wasn’t that she did anything awful, it was simply that she didn’t quite fit their ideas of a western lady. The most useless of the things they talked about was her copper hair, a trait she truthfully couldn’t do much about if she wanted to. Then there was the child. According to them it was quite a crime to have a child without being married. She didn’t care that they thought that. Though she did have to agree that it would be easier to have someone other than her neighbor caring for the kid whenever she had to run the shop.

Lydia didn’t ever complain though. She seemed to enjoy the task, as her children had long since disappeared into the wilderness and her husband was quite often off working. She said it made her feel younger. Not that Adrienne understood the sentiment, considering she felt very much the opposite. If anything it was a struggle to keep herself conscious throughout the long hours of keeping the shop open. Especially so on days where there wasn’t any breeze. Even with each of the shop’s windows propped open it was stifling hot. She’d had to tuck her horse under the back awning of the shop and frequently made certain that there was plenty of water. At this point she was tempted to simply shut down the shop and leave.

She knew the weather in the area well enough that if she waited a little longer, the temperatures would begin to cool as the sun grew closer to the horizon. All that left was the annoyance of waiting. The second that glowing orb touched the western horizon and the sky began to shift in color was the same moment she shut her door, hardly ever earlier or later. She never knew if a wave of travelers would pass through town, and thus it was easiest to keep the shop open til the time most sane people would be returning to their camps or their homes.

The hours passed quickly, and soon enough she was locking the door and riding out of town. The house was fairly simple, the only thing of use she got from her parents. Individuals she wasn’t the fondest of, and quite truthfully didn’t bother to think of them often. They’d left for the cities in the east, leaving her with enough to get a shop up and running. She was grateful, but it didn’t change her blatant dislike for them. Nonetheless the house fit her needs, with a small barn for the horse and a chicken coop for eggs. Simple, easy to maintain, and out of the way of the town’s traffic.

There was always a feeling of relief that flooded her when she rode up the hill leading to it and saw Lydia’s horse, always fearing the worst yet doubting anything would happen. She was quick to put the horse in the stable and fill its trough before heading into the house. Lydia sat at the dining table in the main room, flipping through the pages of some dime novel as usual.

Lydia lifted her head quickly, immediately lighting up with a smile. “You’ve returned! Clint was tired so I put him to bed. Though he may be awake now and playing with his toys.”

Adrienne returned the smile, casting a glimpse towards the stairs. “Well that saves me half the hassle. Thank you.”

“No need to thank me, but I shall be off. Need to get home before it's too dark. The coyotes are no fun this year.” Lydia shut the novel and got up, sharing an embrace with Adrienne before stepping out the door.

Adrienne made certain to lock the door after Lydia left, listening to the fading hoofbeats as she rode back towards town. She always felt somewhat guilty for making her ride out here, considering she lived in town and that's a fair distance away. She’d given up on fighting that fight a long time ago, as Lydia was likely the most stubborn person she knew. The clattering noises from up the stairs confirmed what Lydia had said about Clint playing with toys. She started to make her way up the creaky steps to say her greetings. As always he was more than happy to see her, blabbering away at his attempts at words. He was getting better at that, and quite quickly as well. Far faster than she’d ever imagined a child to learn, but she guessed that was how most people felt at first. Always expecting things to take longer than they did.

That wasn't what he had meant to do, was it? Some sort of mistake, right? Ryder huffed, simply situating himself more in the saddle. Pairs of eyes landed upon him the more and more he made his way into the smaller civilized area, in which was the outskirts of the nearest town. The eyes landing upon Ryder Livingston were nothing that he could sense that were threatening or that they knew what he was... More like wasn't. Ryder Livingston, one of the best bounty hunters.

But recently, that entire picture had fallen. Shattered like glass. His own brother, betraying him just to get back at him for the sake of doing his job. Ryder never really got along with his brother, of course not, but this was crossing the line. Ryder had just been doing his job as a bounty hunter - hunt down the bad for the good. For protecting people. Technically, he was like law at this point.

Ryder shook his head at the idea, but he couldn't manage to wrap his head around it. His brother was the leader of a rather popular gang, but it was more or less a bad gang. As all were, but his brother's was on the worse end of the spectrum. Pointless murdering, mistreating women, robberies, manipulating, and so many other things that Ryder could ramble on and on about. But now, for the things that Ryder's brother was being hunted for, he himself was being hunted for.

Except he didn't fucking do it.

And that was the main reason why he was rather timid entering this smaller town. Filled with a variety of people - men, women, children, different races... It all seemed rather odd to Ryder. In most normal circumstances, he'd be heading straight for the sheriff's office to retrieve more bounties. But as most good things, it all has to come to an end. Ryder was in this town for another reason rather than his job - or lost job, whatever way you wanted to look at it.

As Ryder continued on, he passed on looks of what he hoped were considered greetings, but the thought went straight over his head - these people were observing him, staring into his soul to dissect him of his sins, and go off believing him for something he wasn't. Ryder was in fact a sinner, but a killer? A murderer in cold blood? That, he wasn't, as much as you didn't believe it. Ryder was an honorable man, always honest, and quite the worker. But of course, people believed what they wanted to and Ryder couldn't control that.

Ryder continued on, his horse's head hanging rather low as the speed at which the pair was traveling in was rather slow. Ryder did bother to give his steed a slight kick in the side, allowing the gelding to speed up to a faster trot, his head raising as the two simply looked straight forward. Ryder knew exactly where he was going. And where he was going was luckily away from this town and the people whom were sucking the soul out of him.

The sun was beginning to set over the horizon, in which Ryder hadn't taken into account how long he had actually been riding. His horse was more tired than Ryder had took into thought, in which he felt sorta empathetic towards the bay gelding. "We'll be there soon, boy," Ryder reassured, reaching to give him a reassuring rub on the neck. "See?" Ryder's eyes lit up slightly, seeing the familiar house in the distance as the sun was practically gone at this point.

Ryder continued on, following the barely visible path that led up to the house, seeing the barn and the chicken coop. Ryder had finally reached his destination, only to dismount his horse, leaving him to graze. The gelding wouldn't go too far, as he was rather responsive to Ryder. They'd been partners for over a decade, and for that, Ryder could respect. A rather trusty companion.

But regardless, Ryder made his way towards the door, adjusting his weight as he brought his hand up, beginning to knock rhythmically against the wooden door. All he could hope know was that she would answer and he wouldn't have to wait long.

Adrienne was quiet as she watched Clint toss around his toys, reenacting his own little stories. It was a pleasant change from the shop, where it was either as silent as could be or filled to the brim with all types of people, both friendly and not. It was a tiresome business running it, so many books and documents to keep track of. Sometimes it left her head spinning, but at least she had a place to return to at the end of the day. Her own safe place, even if it had its own negative memories.

The shop itself was something she was proud of - to an extent at least. She got enough customers to keep it stocked and her and the kid fed, though that often changed with the seasons and the flow of travellers. It was an unreliable customer group, she could never really know when a group was passing by or whether they’d stop to buy supplies. Still, she got the majority of her profit off of them despite that. Nonetheless it was still a slight nightmare to run herself, particularly when she’d needed to get suppliers. Picky bunch, took some convincing to get them to supply a store run by a woman.

A knocking at the door drew Adrienne from her thoughts, leaving her both alarmed and curious. It was late, far too late for it to make much sense for anyone to be visiting. Maybe Lydia had forgotten something, or some traveller was lost in the dark and needed directions. “I’ll be right back, alright?” She spoke calmly to Clint, despite her uncertainty. “Just gotta see who’s at the door.” As usual he was unbothered, too young to really make sense of the worry his mother felt. Bad things happened out here, and while she tried not to fear the worse, it was difficult not to. Especially when living this far from town, practically on her own.

She got up from where she’d sat on the floor, making her way down the stairs and towards the door. For a moment she paused by the door, trying to tell if she heard any words being exchanged outside. It was silent, so she proceeded to unlock the door and open it enough to see who stood on the other side, her tension fading the moment she recognized the male on the other side. She smiled, stepping back and opening the door to let them in. “So the bounty hunter returns. Quite a surprise.” She was most definitely surprised to see him, particularly after this long. Wasn’t overly out of the ordinary, he was one to disappear for periods.

After Ryder had entered she was quick to shut and lock the door, still unwilling to take any risks. She glanced him over, trying to figure out if something prompted this visit at this odd hour or if he’d simply been in the area. It seemed something was weighing on him, but for all she knew it was something minor and quite likely none of her business unless he chose to tell her. She wasn’t quite sure what to say to prompt any sort of conversation that could lead to that question being answered. It had been… about two-ish years since she’d last seen him. Time was tricky when one was busy. It felt both long ago and not so long ago that she’d last seen him.

She moved away from the door, gesturing at the chairs for him to sit if he wanted. “What's brought you to this area? Just missed me or here for a job?” Her tone was playful, a small smile staying situated on her lips. In truth she was glad to see him, but was somewhat disappointed it had taken this long. A bit of a selfish thought, given she knew he’d probably been quite busy, same as her. She didn’t have many friends in the town besides Lydia. They weren’t the friendliest folk, especially not to her, not after she’d ended up with Clint. Made these past couple years quite lonely, though she’d mostly kept herself distracted from her worries by keeping busy.
