Mari just hugged onto him a little bit tighter at his comment, a bit of a smile on her face as she curled into him. "Eleven minutes exactly?" She asked quietly, closing her eyes for a brief moment before shaking her head. She had a bit of a blush across her face... she loved him, and she knew he loved her, but the fact he was actually counting the minutes left was... sweet, it really was. But he was always pretty sweet, and it was this kind of thing exactly that seemed to make her want to cling onto him in every way.

(kind of short - I've got champs tomorrow and Sunday so I'm going to busy this weekend lol)

Sage chuckled rather sheepishly and nodded. "Well, ten now," he hummed. That was more just to make a slight joke, but it was also true. Besides, the girl quite obviously thought it was sweet, so he really couldn't say anything less. He was still half asleep too, so he probably couldn't say any other thing either way. Or rather, he couldn't think of anything else to say.

Mari couldn't help her little chuckle to the boy... she did have to get going, despite how much she just wanted to sit there with him. "Hmm... nine now, then I suppose?" She told him with a small hum. Then went eight, seven, six, five, four and three before she forced herself up. She gently moved Sage from her side and tucked him up under the blankets before pecking and whispering "I'll see you later," to the boy before quietly slipping out the room and making her way towards the queens quaters... to be honest, she just had to iron out a few dresses and tidy up a bit. The king was off doing his own thing, so she could wander around without being scared of being screamed at. She started up pretty quickly, just wanting to get her jobs done... things seemed to have quietened down, so she did want to talk to the queen.

Sage hummed lightly when the girl rolled him over, though he knew she had to get going. He lay around for quite some time, amber curling up under the covers with him. He got up eventually, though, probably closer to lunch time really. He decided to just wander about for a while, and slipped into the kitchen for lunch, but it wasn't very good so he just skipped it and threw it away once he left the kitchen. He eventually wandered down to the doctors ward and slipped into his room to draw. It was still nice to chill in there for a while and draw, and Amber liked to sit in the sun with him, so it was nice.

Mari got to work quite quickly... she finished up the room and clothes before lunch, so went to see the queen to talk about both her and Sages situation. She needed to know... there was a point where she'd start showing, and she couldn't exactly hide the pregnancy forever, especially when she got closer to the due date... she'd need a bit of a break on the lead up. She knocked on the office door with a bit of a hum, before she heard the queen shout through to come in... the woman was eating, and she seemed a bit calmer than she had over the last few days... so there was no better time than to tell her now, was there? She smiled to the woman as she walked in and stood with her hands behind her back. "I had some news that I wanted to talk to you about," she told the woman, who looked at her with a cocked head, nodding for her to go on. "Well, we found out a few weeks back now, but it's... important, for me at least. I went to see the doctor... I was a bit under the weather, and he figured that the issue was that I was pregnant," she told the woman a little bit hesitantly. "I can still work - and everything seems to have regulated a bit more now, so I can still do everything-" the girl rushed out before the queen just shook her head and gave a bit of a chuckle... Mari did like the woman, but she didn't think she'd ever seen her even snicker before... so she felt a rush of relief run though her. "Don't worry. You must be thrilled, no?" The woman asked with a bit of a smile. "The doctor had said you were excited about something earlier... I had a bit of a think about it, and there's not many other reasons people get excited about being ill," she mused lightly. She told the girl not to worry about anything... that she'd be taken care of as long as she worked for her. Mari mentioned the father, and the queen couldn't help but be a bit surprised as to how... sudden that all was. But she was still happy for Mari. She remembered the girl telling her years ago how much she'd wanted a family... so it must have been nice for her, to say the least. "We'll go sort everything out for you... I actually need to talk to Sage. If you see him then send him my way," she told the girl... Mari couldn't help her relieved grin before she padded out the office to find some more work to do... If she crossed paths with Sage she'd of course send him over.

Sage pretty much just lay around and cuddled with Amber for a while, drawing. He drew a couple different things...amber, the horses, the old doctor, and of course Mari. He couldn't help the light smile that crossed his face while he sat there in the sun, and he couldn't help but chuckle when he heard Amber start snoring quietly. She really was an amazing, sweet animal...and he couldn't thank Mari and the doctor enough for bringing her to him. She helped through the day, even, when Mari was working. He didn't get so lonely or bored and as a result, his mind didn't wander as much, which saved him from his own head pretty often. After a bit of drawing, really a couple hours, he got hungry enough to go try and figure out some food. It was after the meal at the time, so the cook would be out of the kitchen, and so he went rummaging about, in hopes of finding something good for dinner. He'd bring some to Mari too, since the cooks cooking wasn't wonderful.

Mari finished up after another hour... she could send Sage to the queen whenever, really, she supposed... she always seemed to be in her office. She looked around for him a little bit, wanting to go and eat with him... he was really all she had right about then. She didn't have anyone else, so it just seemed like she'd become pretty attached to him fairly quickly. She loved him, and that was all she knew... she had friends, of course, but Sage was pretty much her everything. She looked in her room, though when he wasn't there she groaned slightly before wandering down to the kitchen... she saw him in front of the counter, and a grin crossed her face before she silently padded over him and slipped her hands under his shirt and wrapped her arms around his waist. "I spoke to our wonderful queen," she mused lightly as she pressed a light kiss to his neck. "She wants to talk to you," she then added lightly.

Sage let out a light squeak when Mari wrapped her arms around him, having been distracted with cooking when she slipped up to him and half whined "your hands are cold," to the girl before they warmed up from being against his body. He giggled lightly at the kiss on his neck and leaned into her slightly. "She can wait until after dinner," he hummed. "Though I can't imagine what she's found to talk about now if all times," he mused. "Have you told her about the baby yet?" He knew she'd been waiting for a good time to tell the queen about it, and he was rather curious as to whether she had or not. If she hadn't that was fine, he just didn't want to drop it if Mari hadn't told her yet. Besides, she couldn't hide it long ....her stomach was already a bit swollen. No one could tell if you didn't know her well, but it had definitely grown a slight bit in the past few weeks. He turned off the oven then and picked up plates. "If you wanna eat you gotta let me go for now though," he giggled lightly.

Mari grinned at his little complaint before giving him a little squeeze. "My hands are always cold," she told him with a small laugh. Well, they were now at least. She hummed with a bit of a nod at his next question. "I told her at lunch," she hummed softly with a bit of a giddy smile. "She was actually very good about it. She said she'd make sure we were looked after... and, well, I still have a job, which is certainly a good thing," she told him with a small chuckle. She was definitely getting more and more excited about this child. She'd definitely gotten a tiny bit bigger over the last few weeks... barely, but bigger all the same... she couldn't wait to finally meet the child. See their little face and watch them grow... to have a family of her own... it was all very exciting to her. Scary, but exciting. She gave s groan of complaint when he said she needed to let him go, and pressed another small kiss to his jaw before sliding away from him and taking a plate, inspecting the food for a moment before looking thoughtful. "Can we eat outside? The weather is nice and I want to make the most of it," she told him with a small smile.

Sage chuckled lightly at the girl's comments before cocking his head slightly in a rather amused manner. "Good," he hummed. "She seems happy about it all then?" When the girl confirmed that the queen was fine with it, he hummed in surprise before shrugging and then nodding in response to the girls question. "Why not," he hummed. "Amber would probably enjoy running around out there while we eat. And it is nice out." He reached over to take the girls free hand in his as they walked, before settling in a nice soft patch of grass to eat. They took their time, and it was nice ...wonderful really....but he did know he had to get to the queen's office relitively soon, so once they were done he helped Mari clean up and then slipped off to the queen's office, murmuring "I'll see you later" to Mari, who he assumed would go back to their room. He heasitated outside the queen's office, sort of reverting back to his old attitude at the tavern. It was funny, he supposed, how a few years could change someone so much. Back then, he'd snap at the queen and practice risk his neck, and now he was acting like she was one of the people he was waiting on. He knocked heasitantly and then peered in, rather nervously. "Mari said you wanted me," he hummed, practically a whisper.
