Rose ended up crying herself to sleep, not eating even though her body demanded food-and soon. |

Caden came and took the untouched plate, stumbling slightly as he made his way silently downstairs. He burdened himself in his study, leaving the door open as he drank until he black out, slumped on the desk with a hand keeping a journal underneath it. Written on the journal was his neat, slanted handwriting reading; 'I give up. Get me out of here already, or a purpose, at least' |

Rose woke in the middle of the night, sweating but no nightmare along with a horrible round of dizzness. "Oh shit" She muttered, clutching her head and trying to sit up. She stood, tripping over her feet and falling over. "Ow" She muttered, standing and half walking downstairs. Her feet moved robotically, her feet getting in the way multiple times. "Caden?" Caden remained slumped at his desk, the now half empty bottle of rum in his hand, the journal in the other, the pen laying nearby somewhere in the jungle of papers on his desk. |

Rose walked to his study, looking in and stepping quietly in. She looked curiously at his journal and sighed, reading the loops and curves of his pen. She kissed his head and sat against the wall across from him. She needed him nearby for her own peace of mind. She was worried he'd give her hell for sleeping in there and reading his journal but she didn't care at the moment-she just needed him then and there. |

Caden awoke with a groan the next morning, light headed as he stood sluggishly and took the bottle, taking a swig from it before having no reaction as the man rubbed his temples and made his way back to the kitchen. He set the rum aside and got a glass of water, downing it before setting the cup aside and letting Murphy out for the morning. |

Caden let Murphy in before Mickey sent him a file he should review for the future, him groaning in response as he printed the thick stack of papers before lugging them to his study and starting to look through the digtial and paper copies. |

Rose woke after a while, getting up and walking to him. "Morning, my love." She said, kissing his cheek |

When he heard her stand he slammed the journal from the previous night shut and shoved it aside into a thick pile of papers, acting as though it didn't exist. "Morning Rose," He greeted, acting amused. |
