The other day she told me I was putting way too many crickets in the reptile enclosures. I put in like 10 and we are supposed to put around a dozen. Then she said that is the reason one of the chameleons died .-. (The chameleon came in sick when we got it)

Right now I am just going to do as I am told and let them handle the stuff I am not allowed to do anymore. See how much longer it takes them and what doesn't get done. Let them see I am not the issue.

Realistically, I just don't think some people want others there, was more my point. And will constantly bend and morph rules to try and make you miserable.

Del,
Well, she was whiny in general, too. I was too small to pick up a german shepherd safely and refused, suddenly it was passed off as "refusing work."

Amongst other things.

One time she snapped at me for "snarking" at her when I said, in a polite tone, "alright, I understand" to something she explained.

Thats such an odd reason to fire someone lol

If thats truly how it is there, then I would start looking for a new position. Working in an environment where you have to constantly second guess yourself is stressful. Not good for the mental :)

My prior internship I got "fired" from. Why? An older lady who was overseeing me and all of my daily activities dropped a can of treats on the floor. She looked really in pain when she bent over to pick them up, so I offered to help.

She looked like I just screamed an insult at her...

But like I said there is always two workers and we do it all together. The main person I work with and do everything with is the Manager, which is the owners second in command

Sometimes people will explain how to do something one way but actually complete the task another. We dont always completely verbalize our process. There might be some unspoken rules that are at play here that you can only see if you shadow the task. Im sure this is frustrating.

Yep. That is one of the main reasons I left my last job. I worked there for almost 6 years and did everything the same way all those years which is the way I was taught and told by the owner. Then suddenly everything I was doing was wrong.

I would ask to shadow the owner or a coworker again for those tasks. Maybe a step in the task is escaping you and you don’t even realize it.

Well, the owner can't have it both ways. They can't train their employees one way, and do the same thing a different way. It's just gonna confuse, and piss off said workers. They get paid to do what they're trained to do.

I think so but I don't know. She will say one thing one day then say it is wrong another day. I only do things the way I was told or shown to do but then it is wrong.

So for some insight, my cousin is getting married in May and I need to buy a dress and some accessories.
I don't get to dress up very much, so part of me wants to keep it as cheap and simple as possible, but the other part says that because it doesn't happen often, it should be special and whatever i want.
Here's what I am thinking my outfit will be
.
I went with black because the 3 colors I look the best in are navy blue, red, and black. Navy blue and red are part of the wedding theme colors so I Don't want to match them.
The only thing I wouldn't have to buy is the felt hat, I have one of those.
Altogether other than it, the outfit would cost around $160.
I have enough money, I'm just not sure what to do and I'm bored right now so here we are 😁
Opinions?

Does the wedding couple have a dress code or colors for the guests? Just asking since I know some have ideas about this

No, it's a wear what you want, you can even wear the same color as the bridesmaids if you like

I wouldn't wear black. It's not really a wedding color and you will likely be the only one wearing it besides the groom. If you're allowed to wear the same color as the wedding party, I would definitely lean in that direction.

It's definitely a loose wedding, I asked the bride if black was alright and she said she didn't mind at all. The groom and groomsmen are all wearing button-ups and blue-jeans

Thank you though!

I like the dress and shoes, not a fan of the hat since I think it might hide the ear-rings?

Black is stunning! And is usually my first pick, but Red or Burgundy with black accent couldn't go wrong i should think.

Maybe also get a turquoise jewelry piece for the hat? The whole thing is beautiful! And you will be a credit to the bride. A nice half up, gentle waterfall like hair style will complement the hate and easily show of those gorgeous earrings.
