Sage chuckled softly and shook his head with a hum. "The doctor swears by it," he chuckled, thinking back to the old man. "He's doing something right if he's still around," he added, referencing the man's age. He really never did seem to age. He'd known him forever and he hadn't seen really any sign of aging. "Maybe he's not human," he joked lightly, sort of just nodding along as Mari spoke. "I suppose it won't make much of a difference," he noted. "I guess I'll just have to keep loving you despite your ungodly opinions about coffee," he added, snorting softly. He was clearly teasing ...he wasn't going to stop loving her because she didn't like coffee. So they could joke.

Mari felt a small smile prick up at the corners of her lips, and gave a slight chuckle. "The doctor? Oh, no, he'd definitely not a human. Well... he may be a magic man or something," she murmured softly. She couldn't exactly remember the first time she'd met the man, but she remembered him just the same as she did now. He'd was going to live forever. She shifted to look up at him after a moment, kind of giving him a little squeeze. "You have no choice but to love me. You've been in this for far too long to back out now," she chuckled slightly to him after a moment. "And, by the way, I'll still love you even if you drink it," she mused.

Sage chuckled when Mari agreed the doctor wasn't human. "Anya said he's been like that the entire time she was there," he noted, shaking his head slightly in amusement. "I think the old queen mentioning he's always had white hair as long as she could remember too." No, he definitely wasn't human. He had some sort of super power. Though, he grinned over at Mari when she squeezed him, nodding along. "Oh good,bi was worried there for a second," he teased her, sort of pecking the side of her head and then lingering there, just leaning against her slightly.

Mari gave a soft chuckle after a moment or two and shook her head. "I'm surprised he's out lived her. It's all a bit mental," she hummed. It all seemed to happen very suddenly, too... it felt like it had all been brushed over, other than the clear issues in the kingdom that had started to arise since Anya took over. She shook her head a little at that thought, though. She didn't want to think on it at all, just relax. She felt a little grin spread across her face when he pecked her, and looked up with a bit of a hum to peck his lips when she didn't feel him move from the side of her head. "You weren't even a little bit worried," she corrected with a bit of a chuckle.

Sage hummed with a nod as she mentioned the doctor outliving the queen. The woman had always seemed so....strong. Like she was invincible. He never imagined he'd see the day she died. Then again, he never thought he'd get to see anyas coronation either, and no doubt that was going to happen soon. It was all a bit odd. Crazy to think about. He decided not to. He sort of huffed out a breath of air at her correction. "Whatever," he noted with amusement

Mari raised a brow after a moment, kind of just settling back down into his shoulder and burying her head into the crook of his neck. "Whatever?" she repeated with an amused kind of chuckle. "What on earth does that mean?" she hummed softly, clearly just trying to think of anything remotely normal. It was good they were home, but she was still stressing a little bit about the last few weeks events. She didn't want to stop hearing his voice, or for him to stop holding onto her again.

Sage chuckled softly at maris comment, just shaking his head, nose wrinkling in amusement. "It means, we both know the truth so however we joke about it, it doesn't matter," he noted. He sort of squeezed her with the arm that was around her, humming softly. "The kids will be up soon," he noted, leaning his head back against the headboard of the bed. "We should probably have breakfast ready." Really, he just wanted something to do. Breakfast he could at least sit down and still finish if need be. Hed like to paint some too...catch up on orders and such.

Mari just rolled her eyes at him after a moment, rather amused by the whole thing. "You, Mr. Sage, are so boring," she teased him after a second. He was, of course, not boring, but she could joke as she pleased. "Love you though," she chirped, pecking his cheek. She groaned a complaint when he said they should get up, and kind of just moved to flop back on the bed. "They can get their own breakfast, they're more than old enough," she huffed after a moment, more than unwilling to get up. She sighed though, kind of forcing herself to sit up a bit to at least try and wake up.

Sage chuckled softly, wrinkling his nose in amusement. "I don't think you've ever called me boring," he mused, cocking his head slightly. "I've heard stubborn, and reckless, and the occasional friendly stupid....never boring," he added, huffing slightly. "Guess I'll have to step up my game," he added jokingly, just grinning over at her when she pecked his cheek and then flopped over. "Sure they are, but when was the last time they had both of us there with them," he pointed out gently.

Mari huffed out a breath after a moment, then kind of gave a little chuckle. "You're all of those things. Or, you have been, at some point," she mused softly, pecking his arm before climbing out of bed groggily and throwing a dressing gown on. "But alas, in your old age you're becoming boring," she mused gently. He wasn't. amd he knew that, so she could tease however she so pleased. She wandered over to offer him her hands to help him up. "Mhm. Gotta be more exciting, Sageyboy," she mused. She nodded after a little while, though. She did want to see their children all together - but she had to admit curling up in bed also sounded amazing to her. That was a later issues... Sage wanted a nice breakfast with the family, and she was going to make sure he had just that.
