Lorelei giggled, loading them into the car as well.

Kai helped her into the car with a sile before getting into his seat. "Where to next, princess?" He asked softly, leaning on the console to look at her

"We should probably hit the road," she said, glancing over at him.

"But to where? Anywhere you want to go, let's get there." He said softly, pulling out of the parking lot

"There's a lake nearby," she offered. "We could rent a lake house for a few days,"

Kai nodded as his phone buzzed. Father it read. Kai's eyes went wide as he denied the call and it began buzzing again. He denied it three more times before blocking the number

"You okay?" She asked.

"Just my father. Didn't answer because if I did, he'd track us and put you into danger. Don't worry about it, love. I've got it." He explaiend softly

Lorelei nodded. She knew he could keep her safe, but she also didn't want him stressed out. "Okay, just lemme know if you wanna talk about it, okay?" she whispered.
