I still cannot equip my 7 year anniversary pad- it equips as black mane feathers.

The news page states that tack now appears in the order you equip it. So take off the saddle and pad, then put the pad on then the saddle. I think that would fix this.

Yes that did work but truly I would rather have my HEE 7 yr anniversary pad on him but it still equips as feathers
