I do agree with Daisy. Your upper body is really moving if you learn to lean back more but keep your butt in the middle of the saddle that will help you ,and as your horse takes off over the jump stand up in your strups just a little and slide your hands up your horse's neck. :) hope this help some! |

Yes I think I have a good position on flat whatever people might say about it it's just my jumping position I need to work on lol if you like I can post a picture of a flat position. |

There's some great YouTube videos you can watch. I definitely recommend doing some reading, horse and rider biomechanics is particularly interesting and will help you understand how your position directly affects your horse (and how it will affect different types of horses in different ways). It's one thing to just do it because it looks correct, it's another thing to understand why you do it. Knowledge is power, especially in equestrianism. A good trainer with a keen eye is also a bonus. Sorry but I won't be riding today as my horse was unshod yesterday his feet are quite painful so he's having a holiday for a week, just when I need him lol |
